only the latest Q5pro (2/8gb) and Q10pro (2/16gb with intermal HDD slot).

Thank for reply. Yup did some survey last night and found the Q10pro. But i got 1 more issue as this support 1 HDMI out only. But when normal watching comedies or drama, i prefer to use TV internal speaker as it gonna use for long but when go for Dolby, DTX, Blu Ray ISO, i prefer to my home theater AVR. What you guys will suggest in this situation whereby i wont lost the Image quality and sound quality? HDR and Dolby Vision is amazing.

That's weird...

If you have an avr, would you want to route all (Astro/hypptv) thru your amp instead? That's what I do....

Unless you are using your TV for local channels via antenna and if that's the case u could just switch on the TV to watch normally then? No?
*
Where by you mean all your Astro/hypptv/tvbox to you AMP? Usually my father will at home watching those dramas or sports for long hours. That why i though normal video content could route via TV internal speaker but when goes blockbuster Action movie would prefer AMP + speakers.

i understand what u r looking for.

the box, like astro and hypptv can connect direct hdmi to tv.
no issue with videos, whether iso, bdmv, hevc, 10bit, etc.
video quality is normal, good, no losses, as high as the tv can take from the player.
if tv has upscaling, u will get it on the tv.
audio, only tv audio.

to get audio via avr, u can use the optical (toslink) or coaxial (rca) output of the box - q10pro has BOTH - connect either to AVR.
u will be able to get digital audio, i.e. dolby d or dts, but not higher; hd audio is only possible with HDMI.
files with dtshdma, ddtruehd, ddatmos, dtsx will be reduce to core dd/dts.
5.1 or 7.1 will remain.
my solution...

q10pro->avr->tv for 4k video, home theater hd audio.

all others, incl hypptv and q16 (older himedia)->tv for tv audio only.
this is very useful for casual viewing, 2.0/1.0 audio, long hours!

Thanks.

Anyhow does anyone try blu ray ISO download version on q10 pro? Can get all blu ray menu and play well right? This also no cinavia free right?

I connect my himedia q10pro thru my avr. I find that it look different as compare to my smart fb Netflix. Also it does not support English audio 5.1.

I try playstore but can't find Netflix this app

if u didn't know this...

the netflix in the box is like any netflix on most boxes - just SD 2.0.

becos these are not netflix approved.

only devices approved by netflix incl smart tvs, 4k android TV's give 1080p, 4k, dd5.1.

No wonder. So the only way is I use my tv Netflix and hdmi arc sound back to amp in order to get 5.1 right?

Wanna ask can I do this?

1)HDMI connect to avr for playing BD and high definition video.
2)video and digital coaxial to TV for playing drama as it might play long hours.

If I have both connection connected can I switching between?

u can but... for 2, it is not ideal for video, will get SD grade video.
becos HD/4k video can only be carried with HDMI cable.
there is only 1 hdmi output from the box.
*
What the best solution then? Any good HDMI splinter can process?

Guess it hard to get to support hdmi 2.0 splitter

as explained, only a few approved boxes on planet earth support netflix hd/4k/hdr/dv.

nothing u can do about it except buy a nvidia shield rm1.6k.

really, just use the netflix of the tv, for audio, just arc or toslink to avr, all is good.

everybody does that!
*
Can all connect all to my AVR and hdmi to TV ARC? So when enjoy AVR I can hav high res picture quality and when Netflix I use the same hdmi as arc back AVR?

If can then I won't need to waste 1 hdmi port. But HDMI arc act the same like the other 2 HDMI port?

Is netflix and youtube work in HD or 4K for this device?

Hmm... u hv memory loss?
This from 2 weeks ago, already explained...

Youtube 1080p can get with right version.
4k, no.

Directv as in usa iptv service?
Like hulu, amazon iptv... these are only for usa n certain countries.
Some people say can use special vpn/dns/proxy, special payment methods.
U can ask around, probably geting harder and harder as these providers start blocking.
Even u get, doubt it is 4k or dd.

Netflix is the only one has biz for malaysia.
To get in 4k, hdr, dolby vision, dd, use yr tv.
U paid a lot for the tv, why dunwan to use... rolleyes.gif
U been told already!

Yes. I just cancel netflix an hour ago. Because i was told by my friend can after confirm only knew that he actually not so familiar with SD, HD, 4k. To him is acceptable PQ for netflix android box. As for youtube, not sure my eyes or what but build in TV one seem PQ better as compare to 2 version of youtube at my tvbox. Dont know what the both different just the layout as compare to TV is different too.

Just got directv trial version and smartdns. Will give a try and update you guys.

Cancel Netflix because not much newer or latest big title movies after 1 month free trial.

4K, HDR and Dolby vision which mostly available for Netflix original only. Whereby not much drama for me. I'm not boycot the app but just try getting something which suit me the most. I can still renew back anytime if I want t right?

Yet I still enjoy the media box with AVCHD, MKV and some kodi source or streaming apk. Also I got myself uhd player and order few UHD movies and blu ray from Amazon.

Yes both of you are right I'm new in 4K TV and home theatre system somehow I trying to learn, gather information and discussion (believe lowyat forum is a place for this). I'm not here to start a forum war or something but if u unhappy to reply my noob question of coz you free to scroll down and ignore my sentence.

Anyhow cheers guys, sharing is caring.

Netflix, amazon prime, youtube 4k all works perfectly on tv smart function. You dont need q10pro to play it. Q10pro will playback those 4k hdr movies you download online perfectly.
*
Thank you. Yes tried the Netflix and amazon prime. Those movies title ok ok for me so I skip them this round. Give a try directv and see how.

You got a lot 4K HDR title? Care pm me the way getting them?

yr question is like asking the doc what's wrong with u as u have stomach pain!
u need to describe better - what file, how big, does it play on other players, does it play on pc, etc...
*
MKV movie files with size 5-7GB. So far i only got 1 player and it does play well with my PC. Just when i copy files to Himedia HDD which i addon, sometime it play half way and pop back to file choosing screen. I using the default media center player.

I also test play x265 format or BDMV files which so far so good dont have such issue. Only MKV files size 5-8GB one.

hmm.gif  hmm.gif. That's really word though. One would think it's the higher bitrate and HEVC files that should be problematic.. Not the simpler H.264 mkvs.. Explanation seems legit. Could also be a corrupted download.
*
Could be bad download then. Most MKV i got from 1080p by Sparks, FGT, HDchina, Replica or ETHD. I believe they are famous ripper. Any possibility happen so i guess it ok as long as not the player or the media center cause the problem.

Not much to complaint when it come free. Thank for the feedback guys.
