At that time, i believe there is only one version.

And need a google patch to get all things google.

We MUST be sure...not just believe that it's this "box" else doom from start...

Also need exact match for firmware version to be double sure.... 1.1.4xxx won't do it...

We can rule out the 4th generation, probably the 3rd too...that leaves 2 version to check...

I think these are it. If AVFAN can confirm any of the versions will help double confirm. These are for single core, 1GB ram, 4GB rom, Q5.

Firmware for old himedia Q5. If it same, nothing I can do. However can sameone download it and share elsewhere. I can't read chinese.

Very strange, clicked from tablet shows firmware, from pc shows something else!

But i cant tell if that is right for capoi.

There's a newer "diy 1.1.9” and Google play store patch... perhap try search for that and see if anyone has that handy...

The firmware list I got is from their Chinese website, for their Chinese market Q5.

I don't know if they have an international market Q5. I don't know if there is any difference in the firmware.

The firmwares may or may not be interchangeable...

if u havent registered, go settings/account and logout.
then at prompt, u register

works good q10pro.

the latest iflix version is androidtv version, also found in google androidtv tv's playstore.

Thank u. Managed to get the firmware from him. I just want to kbow if anyone know about Hi control. My apps can't detect my Q5 after upgrade firmware.

Does anyone know any 3rd party apps that can replace the Hi Control apps. Using phone to navigate at the menu is a bit easier than remote.

I found and currently testing cetusplay. Got some discussion also in tge previous post.

a quick reminder to q5pro/q10pro users.

the native player has auto frame switching feature.

i.e. it will auto play according to the file or stream fps (frames per sec) which may be 23.976, 24, 25, 30, 29.97, 50, 60 Hz.

correct fps ensures no micro stuttering, judders or "jerking".

u enable it using the remote - playback a file, do menu/advanced options/24p - open it.

once set, each time there is a fps change, u see the switch displayed on the tv, takes 1-2 secs.

if u do not enable it, it will just stay at what u set at settings/display.

for 4k tv, if u do not enable it, every time u use an app, it will go to 1080i rather than stay at (set) 2160p tv upscaling.

Anyone tried Himedia Q10 pro with directv now? Can stream with 4K and dolby digital audio?

Is netflix and youtube work in HD or 4K for this device?
