I have advised my family members to exit Kodi by using the  screen exit/stop button.

There is this remote HOME button. Now asking myself why this button if I don't use it! Why do I need to do it the harder way using the stop/exit button? Some says so that Kodi will shutdown properly. But then why this HOME button?

Like to know from those who have consistently used the HOME button to exit kodi and whether you face any problem later with Kodi.

Thanks.

the home button is to return home if u r stuck with any app, short of cutting off the power.

or if u want to use another app while keep an app running (e.g. copying files with a file manager).

this kind of button is found in many devices, incl smart tvs.

kodi will exit properly if yr build is done properly.

yes, it does get stuck frequently if u hv too many things inside or visit some bad links often.

try to use indigo maintenance tools to clean up regularly.

or the native cleaner app found in the launcher.

however, i hv not seen any further problems arising from exit using home button.

Anyone has this? Any dark video issue that's commonly related to s912?

If compare the pricing of this A5 Vs Q5 Pro, this seems slightly cheaper but comes with a bigger memory space of 16gb Vs 8gb on Q5 Pro

what local price is this a5?

a quick look at the specs... similar to q10pro.

but uses amlogic vs hisilicon.

i think this is the first himedia model with amlogic.

the H series uses rockchip.

I've never use an android tv box before but getting one soon. Q10 pro seems to check all the boxes but I cannot tahan it's huge size and using 12v....I think it's considered not very energy efficient. The 3.5in drive dun do it for me either. Why they don't use smaller 2.5in hdd?

Minix seems over priced.

Talking about price, the Q10 pro is Rm600? How come places like Gearbest selling it for US$299? 😳

The price diff based on Lazada is approx $30, I'd rather go with Hisilicon due to experience with Q16 Quad

For the price range of $600 I'd recommend Q10 Pro and buy fro Nicety at Garage for after market support

Even in China & HK...Himedia is not cheap, some cost more than in Malaysia. wink.gif

Which makes it good "value" relative to other markets.

Not entirely true.. Depends on the compatibility with both TV and HT. Mine... Both Samsung.. ALWAYS get DD 5.1 via HDMI-ARC from the Netflix TV app. Can get up to DTS from other media playback..

stupid question, just started using q10 pro yesterday with kodi and media player on USB. 1 only problem is the output of sound through my samsung ks7000. i need to set it to like volume 50 which is still quite soft...

was thinking whether should i get sound bar. can q10 pro connect to sound bar using bluetooth or wireless? dont want all wires coming out from my cabinet ... also can recommend me any good to start sound bar? anything that helps in watching movies and dramas. dont need to be super dts what not, just need some omh, rumbling for action movies. thank you.

From my setup to Onkyo AVR, the volume setting on the Himedia remote will dictate the AVR volume. AVR takes the set volume and then processes it. If the remote set volume is low, then AVR will see a low volume for processing.

Enjoy!
