My personal view is that Avenue K has been overshadowed by KLCC.

When there is two beautiful girls together, people will put their attention on the more beautiful one. Unless the less beautiful one has got some special identity that make her outstanding and easy for people to remember.

In the case of Avenue-K. For me, the design looks like it is an extended arm of KLCC or complimenting KLCC.

For Avenue-K to stand out, it has to either offer a different thing than KLCC or it has to be better in certain aspect when comparing to KLCC. Otherwise it is difficult to attract people to Avenue-K when there is already KLCC.

no matter what just ask yrself, will it be successful or vice versa. already know yr answer. very poor forth sight

now even the river bank near ken3 collapse even worst.

can it go foward or productive depends on the management

OT:

Avenue K one big problem was that the owner "jual mahal". they thought they are so great so near KLCC so charge the rents so expensive that everyone just couldn't survive and hence slowly slowly abandon.

The effects of doing such a stupid thing is felt till today. That is why never make the wrong move as it can have permanent long lasting effects!! Only now do they start charging low but the damage is done.

this is the problem for local market ..
its not hard to see many fail or jialat project around ..
and MANY empty office lot, soho unit, condo/apartment ..
all hold by those greedy invester ..
ex :
how to u feel for tropicana ? look good outside .. go in haiz ..
how to u feel 'niu zhe shui' at damansara ? same thing .. now is totally dead but invester cant let go at cheap price ..
so many empty unit of condo/apartment ..

so for ss2 mall .. it will never be better ..
no matter how sweet talk by the other .. it just a talk .. it just a dream
ss2 mall already fail in 2 category such as , location and transportation

and i live in ss2 ..

i attended a wedding dinner last weekend on SSTwo Mall.
its seem many dont know where's SSTwo mall located.

besides that, the newly open chinese Restaurant at SSTwo Mall is nice. Food is ok, big portion.

But its were so hot ! The huge crowd and the air-condition not able to cool everyone!

Very hot.. very hot... hot hot hot all the way in dinner.... =.='

i roughly know where it's, but dun know how to turn inside......

very bad access....same with tropicana mall......

dun worry, I wont miss any of these two malls.....really add nothing to my life, unless you are residents nearby..

it's along the same road as new paris restaurant ... 'big portion' is on the top floor if i remember correctly.

i was there 2 days ago and mall still as empty as when i was first there ... i believe the rent free period given by the mall has run out for most of the first batch of tenants. We will see if they continue to stay or start to stop operations. But Chatime was enjoying brisk business there, surprising .. smile.gif

Considering before the landslide case happened, this mall have been going downhill. Further -ve affect are barely minimal.

its like telling a dying cancer patient he got diabetes.

come to think of it, i've never been to this mall before since it was launched and I am only work around the corner.

I hardly hear any of my colleagues visit this mall b4 as well.
we would rather go to Jaya One for food/lunch or dinner ... even happy hour
