The installer is coming to my house in 2 days time, I suddenly received disconnection just now (around 5.30pm) and the modem shows ADSL2+ now. My SNR margin left <10, attenuation >40 because of this change. I think I have no luck with 4mbps although one of the forummers (previous version thread) here received really positive changes on SNR margin and attenuation after the change of modulation. Now, it keeps giving me 115.X IP (which sucks A LOT, I was previously using the best 6X.X IP) regardless of my streamyx account (512kbps, 1mbps). Any idea on this?
Then you should inform back the installer that u got a bad line statistics after he changed your connection setting at DSLAM...
For installer at my area, they usually will change the connection first at the DSLAM before come to customer house..
If the line statistics is bad, then they will cancel the upgrade process...
In my case, before this I'm using 2Mbps account with 115.xx IP and FYI, that kind of IP give me the full speed of 2Mbps when downloading from MU, RS, FS and also Youtube. I don't encounter any problem when using 115.xx IP.... I have no experience for 60.xx IP.. Now, I'm using 4Mbps.., and I don't get 115.xx IP at all.. Only 211.xx (very frequent), 175.xx and 110.xx IP (Hard to get this IP, only at the "lucky" time... some said that this IP are only reserved for Unifi users)
I think maybe the speed of certain IP depends a lot on the location of user....

@ AjkR06
Need to go home to do that ;p Will post later tonight when I'm at home. I did speedtest to Brunei before, the dl result were less than 2mb, so sad . . .
IIRC both my SNR and attenuation is in the 30's, as stated in the technician report slip.
You should call TM and asked them to transfer u to the special department that handle the 4Mbps user....
