Honestly if that was the response I received from him, I would first give him a nice #$%^&*( and ask him to go back to training for what he should do and what he shouldn't. If an installer itself has no idea what is the further steps he needs to do, then there is a need that he need to get a job that he knows.

No offense but I think you should really tell them straight on this and ask them stop passing this through each of the department as this will get the problem nowhere but at the end of the day, you will continue suffering. Especially if you are paying money on this monthly on time.

I called 100, they assigned new installer team for me. I wonder how long this would take now =.= Almost 2 weeks already rclxub.gif
If I !#$ the technician later he cap me at 348kbps then I know doh.gif

My snr margin (dl) is below 10 and my line attenuation (dl) is above 40+ but my connection so far is pretty good with 1mbps account and ADSL2+ modulation.

If I'm able to get good speeds and decent pings by trying my friend's 4mbps account, can I convince the installer to let me install 4mbps? He will be visiting me in 2 days time.

I just tested with my friend's 4mbps account, it was pretty good even though my SNR margin is only 9 and my line attenuation is 47.

Any comments? Will I be able to convince my installer despite my sucky SNR margin and attenuation?

Haiz, I'm so out of luck. How can this forummer get something like this? They assigned him to another DSLAM?

Yup! It's mine... blush.gif
So, your line quality never improved after they changed from G.dmt to ADSL2+?
I think installer know what to do?
I don't know what is DSLAM at all, I also heard about "jumper", but I have no idea what they are. sad.gif

That's bad news (for me) indeed, we'll see how it goes with the call to 100. Perhaps it'll be another 10 years before the 4mb connection reach my place. So sad sad.gif

Shogun, can you pls elaborate more on this?

If memory serves me right, one of the 2nd level cust service also told me about the server problem.

Now my speed is ok but if i restart the modem sure problem will come again...

My internet suddenly disconnected. Now when reconnected, my modem setting also set to 2mbps. Everything is normal except for the download speed, which is usually capped at 5mbps.

=============================================================================
UPDATE:
I saw TM technician doing something at the cabinet. Just received a call from TM. They said already change port 2mbps and will upgrade it too 5mbps.

============================================================================
UPDATE:

Seems like OK already. But they downgrade my port speed from 5120kbps to 4096kbps. So speedtest results only get 3.2mbps. rclxub.gif

U can't lie to them cos they will send technician to your house to verify your complaint.

They (TM 100 CUST REP) told me my speed oredy reached 80% of 4mbps, so no problem. And when I insist them to cap me back to 5mbps, they said no more port for 5mbps, only got 4mbps....bullshit.

I got one of the technician tel number so I called him and told the story. He said he will try to upgrade it back to 5mbps. Hopefully he's the type that will keep promise. If he didn't upgrade then I will call him back until he scared to see my name on his handphone...lol

laugh.gif Later technician cap you at 380 kbs and run away.
Why don't you just say you got slow speed, then when technician come on your house, hide a laptop in your toilet while downloading a movie, then your speed = mega slow rclxms.gif

I've thought that idea already. But how to hide the modem's WLAN LED lights that keeps blinking? If they saw the blinking LED lights, sure they know someone is using wireless.
