Please be informed that both SyFY Universal and Universal Channel SD will be removed completely from our HyppTV platform with effective on 28/10/2011.

FYI, all existing customers of the channels will receive a letter to notify them all about this removal/ replacement to HD channels. We will start sending out the letter beginning today, 10/10/2011.

just upgraded to byond recently.

the volume on HD channels are loud while the SD are very soft. is this normal?

load hard disk or thumb drive, hook up video-in, then press record button, just like VCR but without tape

can record using video capture card or realtek 1283 based media player but in SD quality only

for HD quality recording need component video capture card + HDfury

which 2 channels are you comparing? just curious...since I heard many has the same problem...but I dont notice that on my TV...although there might be slight difference but its negligible...I have not adjusted the volume switching SD to HD...

Discovery Channel Gets New Look in Asia Pacific

SINGAPORE: Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific (DNAP) is launching a new on-air look across 34 countries in the region beginning October 17.

Discovery Channel’s new look will premiere in India on October 17, followed by the rest of the region on October 30. The channel’s signature globe icon is now merged with the “D” in Discovery. There will be brand new spots featuring Bear Grylls, Mike Rowe, the Mythbusters and Jeremy Wade. Along with the new look, the channel’s lineup will include new shows including Curiosity, a series that dives into questions posed by well-known personalities like Morgan Freeman, Samuel L. Jackson and Eli Roth.

Tom Keaveny, the president and managing director of Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific, said, “Discovery Channel has brought the wonders of our world to viewers in Asia Pacific for nearly two decades. The new look reflects a clean, contemporary feel and the evolution of the brand aligns with our strategy of constantly evolving to remain relevant and exciting to our audience through our programming."

hmmm...interesting....I'm using Panny, and my volume now is at 20..and I dont hear much different in the level when I switch between SD and HD.

My decoder show "c100", n nothing on TV. I tried to switch to channel 103, nothing happen n decode still displaying c100. But if i take out the smart card, it will display error ask to insert smart card, n i can goto setting menu.

What's wrong with my Astro B.yond ? Decoder faulty ?

Stormaker, switch off your decoder and then switch on after a few minutes. If after that still the same thing then have to call Assthrow already.
