Hi guys...i'm getting my PVR (upgrade from b.yond) install this week. How fast is the activation? On the spot or within 24 hours? Can i demand for immediate activation?

I got my b.yond last year....the installer activate my account on the spot...

Yup.....#$#%%$...cannot read the newspapaer tommorow...then only can watch the match,.....

No reason were given to the canceled live telecast.....maybe astro fault...maybe not 80% of the ticket were sold...if that...no live telecast...that Pro Events condition...

No. Since HDMI is using digital signal.

There are a few sellers in lowyat selling those transmitter. I can't remember the link. Try and search.
The normal AV transmitter cost about rm160-rm2xx. Depending on the frequency and range.
The HD transmitter is about RM999.

It depends...for normal subscriber, there are an increase in the subscription fess.

For those who subscribe/upgrade to super pack pakages, they really saves alot.

I saved about RM20+...

Both can only played using astro b.yond decoder.

1. PVR - 500gb storage + 2 tuner + RM10/month + RM150 installation fees (Promotion untill 31 Sept, otherwise RM300)

2. ext HDD - only compatible with 320 WD Passport HDD + Only one tuner + RM5/month

With the current PVR promotion price, the installation fees is cheaper then the ext HDD. I suggest you get the PVR. 500gb is enough already. I'm currently only use half of the storage.

It depends on the package you choose. You will get waive on the PVR and HD services fee if only you subcribe to Astro Super Pack Packages.

Try press and hold 'ok' & 'vol (+)' button simultanously. The remote led will blink twice. Then, try to control the TV volume.

Added on August 22, 2011, 2:20 pmI suggest you get the PVR. With the current promotion price, RM150. It is cheaper than buying the HDD itself. Plus, you'll get more space (500gb) and two tuner (can record two programs at one time).

Added on August 22, 2011, 2:31 pmIt depends on your area. All you can do is, try to call the Astro CS every 2-3 days to ask about your application status, the process will be faster once astro has assign installer to you.

Did you hold both of the button for at least 2 seconds?

If you use active splitter it should be okay. However i haven't personally tested it yet. One more thing, make sure your second tv distance is less than 3 meters or so from the source.



B.yond or PVR? For PVR, just make sure the activation is on the spot, not within 24 hours. Or else, don't pay him the RM150 installation fees.

Upgrade to b.yond - Free, if you return the decoder, smart card, satellite dish & remote control to the installer

This is the coaxial cable. Your decoder is the PVR unit right? PVR has two tuners, it required 2 cables so that it can record two channel simultaneously.

Your second decoder will work if you connect the other cable. But your PVR might not work.

For those who intend to subscribe to Astro B.yond.

Astro currently offer RM70 rebate. I'll be rebated to your account. RM30 for the first month, RM20 for the next two months.

Depends, since Astro already monopoly all of the important content..(EPL, and some channels) Maybe its already too late.
