The only solution is don't upgrade to Byond so you can swap the card on as many as normal decoder.

Added on October 9, 2011, 8:43 pmI think it is time to ask astro to transfer our previous recording onto new decoder whenever they replace the decoder. Astro should upgrade their technology since this is simple process.

hmmm question. thinking of subscribing to byond. but i have a crt upstairs too. so i proly need a standard decoder and the byond decoder too right?

but is that possible via the same dish? dont really want same channels on both tv's

if i subscibe new to astro today they will install the black dish and new decoder, then if up grade to Byond they will replace the decoder with a new Byond decoder with HDMI but maintain the dish correct ?

hello.. need help. just bought samsung led tv n connect to old astro box (silver color). astro box is displaying channel with no problem however tv is showing "no signal", check connection, antenna etc . i connected the wire correctly to av connection on the tv.

is the old silver box works with led tv?

old astro use s cable or rgb for video and analog cables for audio ur cable correctly hook up?

Actually is Astro too smart, they disable it, so if you want HDMI function, paid for it.

i am staying in 12th floor Condo, and top floor is 17th.
from Dish to my house ia a very long distance

whne i apply upgrade Beyond at Astro shop, that sales person say no problems.

But installer call me up yesterday nite, ask me if really wanna install, if long cable, the HD quality will be effected. like square square come out and not smoooth.

Installer being honest tell me, if i wanna install also can but if no clear will be wasting money.

any advise?

Due to price increased, I called customer service to terminate Astro service on October 9th, was told that they need 1 month to prepare for account termination (meaning they will terminate only on November 9th). Till the end they still wanna leech my money one last time lol

Then, I received call from customer service saying that Astro values their customers and they offer package of RM60 to view all channels for 2 months. If I still feel like terminating the service after 2 months, they will do it immediately (meaning Astro really can terminate service on the spot, just that they don't want to).

When I asked why can't they just terminate my account now then, the CS just paused and said it's procedure. I still turned down the offer after he asked me to reconsider.

my byond decoder (non pvr) got struck by lightning, and now the hdmi port is fried. can only use thru AV cables. will astro replace the decoder for me if the cuase is lightning? astro byond provides lifetime warranty rite?

load hard disk or thumb drive, hook up video-in, then press record button, just like VCR but without tape
