Extended tax exemption will enable more units to be sold, better support and parts availability, better exposure of the models to the public (more people will test their friends or their aunt or their grandfather's Insight and found that the Insight is reliable and really save fuel), results in higher demand for 2nd hand unit.If very limited units sold (only ours few thousand units), service & parts limited, lots of people dont know and dont have the chance to test its frugality, Insight will become niche, less demand, lower resale value.
The best if later Honda assemble the car here, parts will become even cheaper, even if Insight as popular as Myvi, ours will become really precious as its a CBU unit. See Jazz CBU 2003-2004 now still fetch above rm50k albeit very old car.
