Huh, only knock & spray cost about RM 550!!!!. Do you want to find other alternative? I can recommend one workshop, the price is competitive and nice job after done coz i've sent my CITY for repair last time.
*
thanks for your offer...but then, i'm afraid other car workshop may not have the right painting for my pearl white (according to the service advisor, this is the most expensive metalic color for honda model)...besides that, the advisor said that it voids certain parts of the car warranty if it is being repaired by non honda authorized workshop...didn't have much alternatives, so i just swallow the cost..

Wah! seems like the insight spare part is freaking expensive. Everything order from Japan and moreover not sure when their plants in Japan will resume as usual. Gonna pray hard notworthy.gif and be more caution when driving.

I purposely mislead the pricing to justify my sidestep purchase. Haha. tongue.gif

My insight for next year, tax exemption will still here. However, when Proton, Perodua or Naza (local players) market their own hybrid, they will re-impose the tax.

Honda will have to increase the price to let say, 130k. But to keep competing in hybrid market, by then they will include features like trunk light (&$(%#!!), auto door lock (^#(&$$!!), pedal shifters, reverse camera, better sound system maybe navi unit, more choices of colours, auto hatch release, real 'keyless' entry and push start button. They might even push the engine to 1.5 IMA with higher capacity motor and battery with extended full electric range. Not to forget, motorized AC.

dun think malaysia car will be such high spec at all. malaysia version always the lousiest spec than any other country one....

totally agree...when parts & maintenance are cheaper, there will be more buying demand which would subsequently boost up the resale value..

i had just met an car accident on my insight ytd... vmad.gif due to the stupid faulty traffic light..
my bumper was dented...went to honda service center and consult the service advisor
was being told that bumper replacement would simply cost above 2k and the lead time for shipping is unknown (could take up to 1-2 months)...luckily, the advisor said that there is no crack (CBU made bumpers were tough) and the dented part would be easily being repaired by knocking and respraying the paint which would cost roughly RM 550

if there is no local assemble parts, i think the future resale value of this car would be very low..
if you are the 2nd hand buyer, would you want to get through such a hassle for parts replacement? not to mention that the price for the spare parts are neither decent ...
*
dented normally cost that much one, it is normal, last time i fix my honda dent, knock back and restray paint for my NHC already cost rm6xx. urs considered cheap liao. cool2.gif

I do have some issue with my 1GB pen drive, normally it doesn't recognised after I turned off the engine then I wan to play it come with error. I used another 2GB then it's ok, no problem.

I guess some pen drive may have this issue. BTW the different 1GB and 2GB i used was 1GB = USB 1.1 & 2GB = USB 2.0.

No la, tyre was another issue because my ride was really harsh, nothing to do with the grinding noise.

Actually the metal knocking/grinding noise can be heard when i start the engine in the morning, I think this is the same noise I hear when accelerating, the noise will go off when I let go the pedal.  I hope this is normal but need more insight owners to test their cars to find out.

By the way, FC for second tank is 710km, just pumped RM64.00 petrol.  90% city 10% highway.

Added on April 19, 2011, 11:15 am

Any speed as long as you press the accelerator pedal the noise will come on, and it will go off when let go the pedal.

I hope it is not CVT or any big problem because the noise is not really audible unless you pay full attention to it.

so jialat? tmr when i take car, if got this problem also can reject the acceptance of the car? sad.gif
