Guys, my problem is, unless i accelerate....it will roll all the way........downnnnnnnn....+.+||||....so nervous whenever i release my brake...
Its the behavior of honda cvt. It uses clutch pack on its driven pulley. The clutch pack is controlled by hydraulic system. On even gradient, the clutch pack will relief some of the engine torque to provide adequate 'creep', comparable to normal auto with torque converter.
But on a slope, with the same creep torque, weight of the car will have the upper-hand and the car will roll backward if u're not giving enough acceleration. Honda introduces 'creep aid' system to address this issue by holding the brake pressure slightly longer (in the abs system, around 1.5 seconds) but the thing just not enough for some drivers. Also the creep aid pretty much depend on the brake temp, pad temp and many other factors that would make it ineffective.
The same clutch pack also fail to deliver good amount of torque on wheels while youre reversing up a slope. Press accelerator harder and it will suddenly release the clutch and your car lurch backward.
Conclusion, the system need some adaptation by the driver.
