That is true..but the 100% insurance claim only applicable if your car was stolen during first year..
if it was stolen on the 2nd year, u will not get the full refund
therefore, it is worth to invest a little on the pedal lock....the one i got from bro sh@rty was a good and convenient

totally agree...that explains the reason on why my mileage went higher (20-21km/ltr) using cruise control..
initially, i thought using cruise control decrease fuel efficiency as it always accelerate to light-blue until it reaches the desired speed whenever the cruise control is activated...

but surprisingly, the end results shows that my car managed to clock higher mileage using cruise control compared to manual acceleration even though i've tried my best to keep the speedometer green most of the time..

just completed my first 1k service at the SC in puchong....just general overview check + free car wash
time taken was just 45 mins waiting time to collect my car

asked about the cost for the scheduled maintenance but the service advisor said that it is not available yet..
the next 5k & 10k service will be completely FOC...

I dun think so...especially for white color, if you dun apply wax at early stage, it became very difficult to get rid of those stains in future...

totally agree...when parts & maintenance are cheaper, there will be more buying demand which would subsequently boost up the resale value..

i had just met an car accident on my insight ytd... due to the stupid faulty traffic light..
my bumper was dented...went to honda service center and consult the service advisor
was being told that bumper replacement would simply cost above 2k and the lead time for shipping is unknown (could take up to 1-2 months)...luckily, the advisor said that there is no crack (CBU made bumpers were tough) and the dented part would be easily being repaired by knocking and respraying the paint which would cost roughly RM 550

if there is no local assemble parts, i think the future resale value of this car would be very low..
if you are the 2nd hand buyer, would you want to get through such a hassle for parts replacement? not to mention that the price for the spare parts are neither decent ...

just apply some tar remover on that stain...leave it for a minute and just wipe it off with the cloth

thanks for your offer...but then, i'm afraid other car workshop may not have the right painting for my pearl white (according to the service advisor, this is the most expensive metalic color for honda model)...besides that, the advisor said that it voids certain parts of the car warranty if it is being repaired by non honda authorized workshop...didn't have much alternatives, so i just swallow the cost..

mine was below 20km...actually, it depends on the distance between the port where your car arrived from shipping until your collection point which is the honda showroom.

You can refer to this distance as a benchmark to make a rough estimation on the distance required to transport your car from the port to the showroom. If u realize that the mileage is unacceptably higher without a valid reason, then u will have your rights to reject the car.

Well, the moment I have decided to choose white color for my insight, I am already determined to wash & take care of my whitey regularly. You will need to put a little efforts to do car detailing as it helps you to gain some general knowledge on how to remove stubborn stains and how to maintain the cleanliness of your car. As for me, my car can last for 2 weeks after the previous washing + wax.

Anyway, if you are always a busy man and do not have time, just go for pps teflon coating

yea...if they had reseted the mileage, there's no way for us to detect it...unless u bring a long a foreman with u..
anyway, judging from Honda's professionalism and reputation, i think they won't do such a thing

yea...the original plastic will cover all the 5 seats...anyway, i think there's a way to dictate whether if it is a new car by looking at the shipping date presented as per the AP. If you have collected your car this month, the shipping date on your AP should be around Feb/March i guess..

i think most cars would need to warm up start every morning
otherwise, your car engine would be jerky if you start cruising as soon as you switch on the ignition

hmnn...anyone facing issues with the reverse sensor of your honda insight?
i think my reverse sensor is not normal...it has multiple beeps even though there's no object behind and sometimes no beep even if getting near to that object already...

guess i would need to send it back to Honda for checking...

I have just sent my car to the Honda workshop to check on my reverse sensors early this week.
It was found that the alignment of my sensors were mislocated, thus causing the sensors not being able to detect the object behind...thank god it was fixed before accident happens

There was a close encounter where I almost banged the object behind while reversing my car which made me realized that there were problems with the sensors.
