I just finish editing the HLB Fortune post and got a shocked to see the cash back (exclude annual bonus) in the saving account reduced tremendously compared to my previous example where one transact RM100K the card.

alex, this info very important - not only is there a cap but there is also a minimum amount one needs to spend with the card to earn the 1% cash back.

For Amex acceptance, can safely say that almost 90% of merchants in Bangsar accept AMEX for obvious reasons. Even the TM point there Yes, they open on Sat. If you wish to pay on Sunday , there is always an 24-hour autopay kiosk in TM Point which according to the CS, accepts AMEX as well, which I have yet to try out.

I will ask the Post office uncle on my next visit if they accept AMEX, or even credit cards. I usually pay my utility bills there, but using cash.

I haven't received my MBB2 Amex yet. I applied about 2 weeks ago. But just now I login to my Maybank2u account, I saw the Amex and Visa already in my account. Guess I am successful smile.gif

Well ... there are people who sounds to be in support of this card. I didn't like it due to its "complications".
At the end of the day it's an individual choice.

I am checking my monthly e-statement for my OCBC Titanium Card. I can only see the sum of the 5% and 1% rebate on my statement and when manually sum all the expenses based on the most probable rebate, it does not tally with the amount of rebates in the statement. I see some forumers posted on the outlets that are giving 5% and 1%. Do you guys manually identify the outlet from the statement or there are other means to do it?

1. if statement date 1/4/11 you can pay on or before 20/4/11 to enjoy interest free which is the statement due date

2. that depends on the merchant if they accept amex 4 the installment.

Just submit your payslips or attach a photocopy of your current credit card from another bank that you've been using for more than a year as reference.

No. Not at all. Currently i have 5 credit cards from 3 different banks, 4 of which are issued by Maybank and Citibank and i don't even have a savings account with them.

In my case, i pay my credit card bills mostly through Interbank GIRO and sometimes using cheque.

CoffeeBean 1% is a bit surprise.
However, Watson 1% is expected. Guardian as well.

I can't be very sure on the rebate I got for my OCBC Titanium as there are several transactions that possibly giving me 1% rebate. Unable to pin point as there are few cents difference when I manually calculate and compare with the statement.

One of the possible 1% rebate that I can think off is my purchase at Guardian Taman Universiti Skudai. Maybe it is because for Guardian and Watson, their merchant code are not under Grocery Stores (MCC codes 5411, 5422 and 5451) as they may be considered as pharmacy.
