Alphacool Quite ok, Swiftech 1 is cheapest yet perform better thn those TT, Gigabyte... PA is the best, get 120.2 should be sufficient for CPU only cooling...

If want to test only, probably just get those swiftech or cooltek. A cheap and good brand.. Not to mention, it is easier to re sell also. haha..

Alphacool is quite ok.. Can buy..

Errr... Better dont buy through third party. Else for sure got delayed till dont know how many months. Buy direct is the best. Pay abit more but stuff can reach ur doorstep in less a week. Like me smile.gif

This is a good / silent pump. Performance is ok ok only.. But very cheap.

just do a little bit research....

actually , Gigabyte Galaxy pump is almost same with Dtek DB-1 pump.

as u can see the physical design is same , only the barb thing difference.

the flow rate for DB-1 is 500 L/hr and Gigabyte Galaxy pump is 400 L/hr.

both pump also use ceramic bearing and 12volt powered.

power consume also same 6 watt.

so i think , i will just wait until i collect enough money to change my pump.

luckily i do a little bit research , if not , i will just buy another pump same as Gigabyte pump. sweat.gif

Personally I didnt compare both of that pump before. Probably the spec is quite similiar but I just worry the build quality is not the same. Later down the road in few months, those gigabyte pump will just 'die'. hehe

Errr.... Just buy from those US website. Like PPCS, Sidewinders, PTS and so on. As long you have credit card, everything can be settle as they accept visa / master or paypal.

You can order from thermochill direct too.. But shipping direct from UK is freaking expensive.

No... Look for Mr. MetalZone
I dont know the exact difference between both of the pump. But 650 is slightly weaker than 655. That for sure.

If u want to bend, you dont have to change to 3/8... U should consider 7/16 tubing.. Can bend better and you dont have to use clamp on 1/2 bard smile.gif

QUOTE(irangan @ Dec 29 2007, 08:55 PM)
I thought the board come with adapter that can convert the block holes from 3/8 to 1/2. If u dont plan to hardcore OC, watercooling NB is not needed. But if u really want to do it, u might consider to change ur pump to D5. This is because with ur current setup, I worry ur flowrate will go down the drain as the block is proven to be restrictive.
*
QUOTE(lichyetan @ Dec 29 2007, 10:08 PM)
Laing D4 should be having the same spec as D4 rite? MCP650 vs 655...
i think i might change to 3/8 tubings as i dont think the 1/2 tubings can bend at the cpu and NB area...
*
D4 and D5 are almost identical except that D5 produces less heat.

Not sure about the D4 being the weaker sibling but im using it and it works like charm so far. *touchwood*

I'm just curious if anyone here tried out those basic water cooling kits from Thermaltake and Cooler Master. I wonder how do they perform smile.gif

I understand and of course if you compare a proper WC system, these would definitely turn out less effective.
What I'd like to know is how "bad" is bad? Does it mean the R120 performs worse than Ultra Extreme for example? Is it on par, etc? These are the things and for somenoe that has used a high end air cooling and such kits, perhaps they can share their actual experiences.
