QUOTE(remonx @ Apr 22 2011, 01:15 AM) Yea, i scare the integrated battery cause a problem to me also! Anyway, "once in a blue moon", nice word you are using. Read some Macbook 2011 rumors just now, it's gonna be updated in April(hopefully), I might wait for the update of it before I make my decision. Oh my god I'm so indecisive!!!

Hmm, to all the users of acer timelinex 4830tg. Does your model of integrated brand battery is SANYO Li_Ion 4000mA?

Yes, same SANYO Li_Ion 4000mA. I thought the battery is 6000mAh. Is this a mistake from ACER or BatteryCare?

mA and mWh are two different units. mA is capacity of battery. mWh is power usage.

Normally higher the mAh, higher the capacity of the battery and can last longer. Well, just try to check on normal AA battery between expensive high cap battery and normal one and you would see.

QUOTE(mudster @ Apr 22 2011, 09:05 AM) mA and mWh are two different units. mA is capacity of battery. mWh is power usage. mAh is capacity... mA is the current Voltage * Current (A) = Power (W) 4000mAh is not necessary wrong, it depends on the battery voltage also... 66600/4000 = 16.65v, maybe the battery rated 16.65 volts? EDIT: Batterycare probably got the model name wrong... Since in the brochure it did state it as 6000mAh...This post has been edited by eugenechiuu: Apr 22 2011, 09:55 AM

Here's a simple tip to extend battery life when watching bluray rip (h264, ac1). Disable the CUDA acceleration and use intel HD3000 for decoding instead. It's called DXVA. Extend my battery life by extra 1 hour as power consumption dropped from ~17W to ~13W. CPU load doesnt change, still hover below 10%. Tested with 11GB 1080P bluray rip via MPC HC, wifi ON, brightness 30%. CUDA acceleration via CoreAVC plugin (CoreCodec). On DXVA, runtime 3 hours but CoreAVC only slightly more than 2 hours. Perhaps someone with 4830TG can test both decoding method and check how long is the battery life? I expect 5-6 hours with DXVA **DXVA doesnt have good subtitle support though. Need to enable overlay mixer which will increase cpu load by another 10%. This post has been edited by toughnut: Apr 22 2011, 11:20 AM
