This is really poisonous!! I wonder if I shall purchase Asus A43SV i7 or this laptop?
I had bad experiences with Acer's laptop and desktop, afraid of its quality.
But the USB3.0 is really attractive!

Any ideas on Acer's quality? Thank you for sharing biggrin.gif

I've had bad experiences with Acer products, so I'm afraid of this will be the same. sweat.gif

I'd love to have USB3.0 ports on my laptop though I transfer large-sized files once in a blue moon. biggrin.gif

want to see a negative comment?

http://www.notebookjournal.de/tests/laptop...nbb-nkrt-1389/4

and i google translate the temperature part:

"Throttling
However, only in the first runs, which are included in the standings. After about 5-6 Benchmark routines enters the throttling of the CPU, which lingers with a reduced clock to 1.2 GHz. Throttling is a prerequisite for the required Nvidia Geforce GT 540M. In reaching the CPU temperature of 90 ° C, the clock is reduced and released again until 65 ° C below. That will happen during prolonged usage not the cooling capacity is too weak despite lower power consumption. To use the full cycle again, you have to calculate / game to be interrupted. During the decelerating phase creates the Acer 4830TG in World in Conflict is only about 2 / 3 of the actual frame rate."

However, I will not believe if just 1 review, moreover, i didnt really know to what extend they stress test it. I am more confident if reading reviews from notebookcheck.net. This notebook is too new, I am still waiting for more reviews from owners as well...

But hey, that's just 1 area of the notebook, if you look at others, they are all positive.

Hehe thank you for sharing!
But I plan not to play games with this laptop to see how long it can last. whistling.gif

I made my order just now! I will get the laptop @ 6pm tonight.
Upgraded the RAM to 8GB. (+RM130)
I didn't want those free gifts(20 items, but they're something which I think I won't use them!) and got a discount RM80.
Extended its warranty to 3 years too @ RM170.
Total = RM 2499 - RM80 + RM130 + RM170 = RM2719 blink.gif

that's old specs and using 1st gen processor...  can't compare old tech n new tech since new one is much better.. don't think you can get 3 years on Dell with that price either
*
Exactly. Incomparable.

I'm typing with my 4830TG. The keyboard is really nice rclxms.gif
I think when you start typing, the touchpad will automatically switch off, so you won't be annoyed by the touchpad when you're typing.
But there is a disadvantage which is when you just type a character, it turns off as well, so you'll feel like there's a delay or lag.
Overall, it's good! drool.gif
(Though the promoter didn't understand this laptop well, didn't know there were 2x2GB RAMs inside instead of 1x4GB,
I didn't manage to upgrade my RAM to 8GB, but I'm still happy with this laptop.)

The batteries nowadays are smart enough to stop receiving power when it's fully charged, just like you stop eating when you're full.

The problem causes a battery dies faster most probably is the heat generated by your laptop, the environment you use your laptop iinm.

just ask only, did you all recommend me buy this 4830tg over than Asus N43SL or N53sv.thanks all..

If you're going to travel a lot, I mean to places without power source, this will be your choice!
I am using it to do my uni assignments and the battery lasts at least 5 hours while playing music in the background.
I don't regret buying this laptop, it's really nice! (Not bluffing blink.gif )
