I guess some sales rep are unscrupulous and are ignoring the street date set by Acer?

Installed beyond good & evil. The graphics is slightly glitchy. it can run on the intel hd3000 smoothly. Tried to run it on nvidia must be manually added to list of programs (maybe because it's old?). Gonna try different settings later...

Still need an online connection after this to install steam...

So far heat has been quite cooling. But haven't done any heavy duty processing yet (i.e. gaming). Only browsing the internet and installing stuff...

Discharging 100% at 7:04pm.

I bought it yesterday. Was planning to go to digital mall 14 PJ, but found one in Sunway Pyramid. They still have one more unit on show...

Enough poison?

Edit: Powersave mode on. Wifi on. 7hrs 57 minutes left.

Battcare not showing the temperature of the HDD or CPU/GPU... Dunno why.

I am falling in love with the keyboard and touchpad. It's pretty nice to use...

The thing is, if the battery runs for 8 hours in 1 go, then that's a lot of battery life. Awesome biggrin.gif

max> I think 41LY45 said it already. The battery's replaceable, but You'll need to bring it to acer. No 3rd party batteries because it's unremovable.

30 minutes = 10% discharge. If 100% = 6 hours.

So, looks like 6.5 hours on a single charge... Maybe more if you turn off wifi. I started watching music video while waiting, so might have drained a bit more.

Also checked viewing angle. From left and right, maybe about 120-150 degrees. But from top and bottom, maybe only about 45 degree angle can see...

I am surprised that aluminium chassis doesn't heat up as I thought it would be. The fan is surprisingly quiet too...

I think this is one of the best laptops in the market for this price. Yay for acer!

HD2k... And it seems if you are on batt and on power, they have different scores. 559 when running on power and 169 when on battery...

I still don't know how to select to test for the NVIDIA GT540M...

Added on April 7, 2011, 8:33 pmIntel burn test not showing any result at all... confused...

Added on April 7, 2011, 8:34 pmBattery at 73% after 1.5 hours. So, roughly 6 hours running wifi, basic webbrowsing, some videos and widgets...

Not bad.
