QUOTE(skysky123 @ Apr 21 2011, 10:21 PM) I just got my 4830tg today too. There are plenty of bloatwares to remove. Took me around 30minutes. I guess we could probably make a list of what should be removed and what shouldn't, because they are plenty of Acer tools are bloatware too(in my opinion). Does it have a power management tool? I'm not seeing any.. (maybe I removed it XD) I'm using power saver mode of window default battery management. I'm only seeing 5hours of usage (with wifi-on and min brightness).... T_T Anyone help! Isn't there a power saver button on the laptop?

I just noticed if i put maximum load state of 15% on my cpu, the discharge rate will be around 9.7W with wifi on and lowest brightness. Battery last around 4 hours 45 mins. Quite a feat for i7 with 6 cells 48W battery (4750G). No match for 4830TG battery though This post has been edited by toughnut: Apr 21 2011, 11:49 PM

4750G not timelineX series, just normal aspire series.
timelineX different chassis/outlook design with higher capacity battery.

I've had bad experiences with Acer products, so I'm afraid of this will be the same. I'd love to have USB3.0 ports on my laptop though I transfer large-sized files once in a blue moon.
