Just don't listen to those sales person, they just simply say, what you need to know is a review from the actual owner which can be found here, but doesn't mean Asus is not good. By the way, when is the next IT Fair?
*
may. forgot the exact date. not hearing the salesperson only. get alot of bad comments from my friends using acer. so decided to give up cry.gif cry.gif

Why do you still use IE? IE is laggy try to use Google Chrome, and I'm sure you will in love with it.

I just got my 4830tg today too. There are plenty of bloatwares to remove. Took me around 30minutes. I guess we could probably make a list of what should be removed and what shouldn't, because they are plenty of Acer tools are bloatware too(in my opinion).
Does it have a power management tool? I'm not seeing any.. (maybe I removed it XD)
I'm using power saver mode of window default battery management. I'm only seeing 5hours of usage (with wifi-on and min brightness).... T_T

Anyone help!

just went to lowyat around 6pm today.. all shops are out of stock.. next stocks will arrive by next week

just want to get an opinion from u guys.. is it worth it to get extended warranty to 3 years with additional rm198? i have good experience with 3 acer laptop and desktops.. none of them are problematic even after 3 years.. but this time im quite worried since the battery is built in

For me I would definitely go for the three years extension, it's really worth it if your laptop is having any issue in the future which would definitely cost you a bomb. But if you're concern more on the battery side, what I can tell you is the 3 years warranty doesn't cover the battery, only the default 1 year cover the battery.

5.9w is the power usage.. The lower the better since you get longer battery life.. If it remains 5.9 all the while u'd be able to get around 10hours battery life..

Note that chrome has slightly higher power consumption than IE9, read this somewhere last time.. So the wattage is gonna be slightly higher compared to using IE

In SG, 3 years extended warranty cost $199. That's nearly RM500 for same period of warranty. On site repair and international warranty requires more. So RM198 definitely worth it.

There's 2 prices for Malaysia's one though.. Under rm2.5k it's rm198, above rm2.5k it's rm298.. But still cheaper than SG la haha

really? it is acceptable if 1 year warranty for a removable battery.. but for built in battery i think the risk is higher

That's why nothing is built to be perfect.
