I can't use my Thumb drive for Ready Boost. I got an error message that the thumb drive's performance is not enough for Ready Boost.
I did some reading online, and found out that I need a thumb drive with at least 2.5MB/s read & write. I benchmarked my thumb drive using HD Tach, and found that it's average speed 7.3MB/s and burst speed is 7.7MB/s is which is above the minimum read / write requirement.
It's a 1GB Pen Drive thumb drive with around 902MB free space.
How can I enable ReadyBoost?
edit:
I may know why. My thumb drive is in FAT format. I just read that ReadyBoost need FAT32 / NTFS formated drive.

My question is, do you install any antivirus? I think many of us here have AV installed, and thus should be brontok free, no matter if it can infect vista or not.
yes,i'm currently using the "trial" norton that is given together with the system..
also had a few "attempted attacks" twarted whilst online a few days ago..
im planning on using the norton till the free updates dries up then move on to AVG,since it's free
