QUOTE(kcng @ Feb 11 2007, 10:37 AM) dual boot using vista and xp pro possible ? i think most of us had been doing that when using vista since beta. don't take the risk using vista only on your pc. dual boot for recovery if something mess up (i meant vista )

Each of the antivirus softwares has its pros and cons. You can refer here to see which antivirus softwares are supported. For free antivirus softwares, you can try avast! or AVG. This post has been edited by tps18489: Feb 11 2007, 12:02 PM

QUOTE(karom @ Feb 12 2007, 02:22 AM) Well, there is another DX9 version for XP for future game execution in XP. when it's out, it will mark the doom for xp. that probably the last update of DX9 (DX9d ??) btw, to people who are anti-vista or just too stubborn, they will eventually get stuck with it just like previous version of windows. when XP out, most say it suck blablabla but now, most windows user using XP

Day 6 using vista: satisfied all my software for work (illustrator, golive, photoshop, indesign, flash) running softly and faster than XP. I work on my notebook (hp dv6203tx) and i must say that Vista able to enhance mobility experience... tested on wifi connection, and it runs excellent... From my point of view, it dosent have to wait for SP to come out.. the best software ever from microsoft.. im a mac user before, re-convert back to windows.. haha This post has been edited by apisgogo: Feb 12 2007, 02:11 PM

Yup, i search hi and low and there is no control of Aero setting or flip 3D at all. Btw, while i was in low yat yesterday i tried one of the Home Basic machine. There is two setting. One is Vista Basic and another one when apply is Vista Standard. After changing to Vista Standard, they is more effect like the colour glow when moving ur mouse over the close/minimise button. Then i tried to change back to Vista Basic but i couldn;t find it. I forgot where i change this setting. Anyone can enlighten me? Btw, how bout Vista Enterprise version? Is it same like Vista Business? I know it only for big corporate company but i somehow got to hold a cds of Vista Enterprise..

QUOTE(relic @ Feb 9 2007, 02:40 PM) Quite Curious for those who buy DELL laptop and having a Windows XP then later on they can get Free Upgrade to Vista or not. From https://www.dellvistaupgrade.com/default.aspx"In order to be eligible for this program, you must have ordered an eligible Windows Vista Capable1 computer from Dell between October 26th, 2006 and March 15, 2007 with Genuine Windows(R) XP Home Edition, Genuine Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 or Genuine Windows XP Professional pre-installed. See list of eligible systems. This redemption must be completed by no later than March 31, 2007 in order to take advantage of the promotional upgrade offer." I've just ordered mine. It cost RM 95 for freight charges. U'll need your service tag ready. This post has been edited by cylon: Feb 12 2007, 12:58 PM
