I got 4.9 for my main rig below. Previously on single core AMD 64 3000+ was 4.7...only 0.2 difference.

But compared to ur rig, which is so much more expensive, i think i'm qutie satisfied with 4.9 already...LOL.

5.5 or 4.9 not bad what. I'm using RC2 and my rating is 4.0 on the dot (lowest score - processor). If I overclock it from 2 to 2.27Ghz I get 4.2

When XP's name is announced, everyone comments how weird that name is. But today, we are now used with that name. It will be the same for Vista, a couple of years or so after release.

what are the outcomes that Vista doesnt support openGL and directsound... does that mean the older games will have degraded performance on vista?

That is correct. But there shouldn't be major drop for newer games, just a few fps less, which u won't notice. Older games will probably choke though.

There's a link somewhere up there from tomshardware. Go read.

Mine is 4.9 also. You can try to delete the hibernation file which is allocated by default unless you want to use the hibernation, that will probably save the hard disk equivalent to your RAM size.

Go beyond Vista.

It's time to get a Mac. If you're thinking of upgrading to Vista, you'll
probably need a new computer. Why not get a Mac? It's simpler, more secure,
and way more fun. And it works with the stuff you already have, like
printers and cameras. So before you upgrade anything, you owe it to yourself
to check out a Mac.

You can install it on a new PC, as long as you've uninstalled (or format) vista from the existing PC, there's no such thing as "De-activate" AFAIK

then, retail version only allows maximum of activation on different hardware how many time? If they detect 2 same keys at the same time, will they blacklisted that key immediately?
