Vista = DX10 = No Directsound = No EAX = No Enviroment Effect
M$ Solution 1 : Kernel Mode Driver = buggy, leading to OS crash.
M$ Solution 2 : Software Emulation.

My Vote:
No thanks. I'll stick with XP. More "real-time, real-life experience"

I wonder y M$ taken the 2nd most important value of today games....

The capacity of the USB device must be at least 256 MB
The USB device must support USB 2.0
The device should have an access time of 1ms or less.
The device must be capable of 2.5 MB/s read speeds for 4 kB random reads spread uniformly across the entire device and 1.75 MB/s write speeds for 512 kB random writes spread uniformly across the device.
The device must have at least 235 MB of free space
The initial release of ReadyBoost supports one device.

Not true. I bench my pendrive, it's 1.5ms n 1.6ms ( yes, i have two ) and still qualified for readyboost.

You think I didn't know that? I'm just here to certify the type of pendrive that supports it.

I've tested running vista with maxmem=512 and 512mb readyboost thumbdrive. Booting n loading windows is ok. faster than xp. but opening mycomp, control panel or anything else, seems lag abit. n one more thing, while in windows, my vista eat up abt 280mb ram and abt 500mb pagefile. I would say, the memory management is superior than xp.

after all this, there's 1 article that prevent me fully-switching to vista. GFX temp probe. Seems like, someone, from an OS-Tweaking site burn out his 7600GS just because OHP ( over heat protection ) in current vista driver failed to kick in. His gfx waterblock melted at the copper - die contact. read here :
