i think someone wrote a driver for vista, check out prodigy's user forum discussion..i myself am using prodigy 192..found a driver that worked..but seems quite buggy , will get BSOD sometimes...
*
I got that too. SQ not as good as what I get in Windows XP. Besides its just a normal drivers without ASIO.

I really dont know how to get my vista machine to connect to my other machine using WinXP. I got the same IP as I did in XP and even the same workgroup. Just dunnot why it wont connect. It connects to internet just fine, which mean I have no problem connecting with my router.

Noob detected

Do you even know what Vista has? Aero is just the exterior, and it's just the OS way of showing what it can do.
1. You can't have DirectX10 on XP
2. It has .NET 3.0
3. DWM renders teh effects on teh background, thus prevents PC slowdown from the heavy graphics. XP with the same specs will LAG doing the same thing
4. ReadyBoost, make use of teh spare thumbdrive to boost the performance

Thus VISTA is faster than XP
thus having problem with FF2 (which is lame anyway) is not a valid reason for your lame post....

AND FOR TEH PEOPLE SAYING THAT VISTA IS SLOW ON THEIR RIG, TRY INSTALLING XP ON A WINDOWS 98 RIG AND TEST HOW FAST IS THAT. DO NOT THROW LOGIC JUST BECAUSE YOU'RE PC IS NOT MEANT FOR THIS

lol.. obviously, dvd emulator wont work during dos..
but then.. if you're installing from windows xp using dvd emulator..
it will copy all necessary files into your hard drive before booting..
and any dvd emulator will do.. alcohol, daemon, you name it..
another thing, kalau tak percaya.. a guide for you.. biggrin.gif

it will take years before XP is outdated. It's just an advisor that tells you what kind of Vista is for your PC. The Ultimate version is teh most heaviest and feature laden version, and not all PC can handle it. Home is the light version, and not as resource intensive as ultimate

Guys. May I know what features are different when comparing Vista Home Premium and Vista Business. What the hell is 'Business networking and Remote Desktop'. The Vista site is really not helping me choose.
Coz the difference isnt obvious, should I go with the cheaper Home Premium? What disadvantage is there? Will I be restricted to networks or anything like in XP Home?

Hi guys,

Not sure where to post this but here goes. My friend told me that during PC fair they got give out free windows vista if you have original windows xp. Is this true?
If it is true, where and what do I need to do to get a copy of windows vista.
