and YUP, the pre-release key will expired on 1st of June 2007. Thus, as a result the so call "crack" won't serve any longer.
Which one can use until 1st of June 2007 ? RC1 or RC2 ?

QUOTE(linkinstreet @ Dec 9 2006, 12:42 AM)
You need 1GB of ram too for Aero, thus even if you did get a Dx9 card, you will still cannot see the aero effect
*
If i am using Dx9b can it run Aero and 3d flip ?

QUOTE(Maniac @ Dec 11 2006, 11:10 PM)
ehm... seems like the RTM is way better than the beta. rocks
*
So compare to RC2 and RTM , can you define the meaning 'RTM is way better than the beta' ? The difference ?

If I install vista and want to uninstall , what step do i need to do ?

1. RC1 and RC2 uses the same key.
2. Vista is preloaded with DX10. the keyword here is CARD. DX9 cards are
Nvidia - 6 series above
Ati - X series above
3. Ask RTM users. I'm still using RC2
4. Reformat

DX9 card are:-

Nvidia 6 series and above
As for ATI, I believe its for 9500 and above...

If you want SM3, yeah, then its X series and above...
Honestly nothing to shout about Vista... Im downloading the RTM via some torrent and already have a crack for the expiry date. Im not sure which version Im using via the screenshot cos I borrow the dvd from my bro. In true, Vista is bloated. Apple does the same if not better effect for Aero alike theme and they did it with 512MB or less. M$ is basically screwed. There's no reason to install vista now cos there are not enough drivers for it. If you want to try it out, dual boot. You will regret if you format your windows xp partition just to install vista.

Vista Ultimate.
And Kapitan dude, are you really sure what you're talking about? the best thing about Vista is that the DWM. XP cannot even do all the effects that Vista can without using at least 2GB or RAM. and ReadyBoot is one of the best thing that I'm using right now. bloated? I beg to differ. And also considering that Vista has 85% of drivers that you need, I don't think the lack of driver can be a problem. You want to use Apple, than that's fine. But looking at the market, M$ should be screwing everyone as all the big vendors are stocking up more Vista PC than other OS (read OSS).

I dont use Apple, its just a comparison.

It cant be helped if you feel good about Vista. Everyone has difference perception. I just feel an OS taking up more than 500MB of ram is nothing but bloated. DWM is nothing but a tool to utilise your DX9 card in desktop mode. Although it said offloading the processing to video card, but having to use so much ram means the processor will be doing works too.

Vista has 85% of the drivers but if you got a all-in-one printer, then you will be out of your luck. Not to mention the drivers for Prodigy LT.

For those who use the created PPPoE connection in their Vista RTM to connect to Streamyx (not using router or ICS as gateway), if you having the problem of the connection halt at the connecting stage and couldn't connected, here is the solution.

I got the reply from Microsoft, the problem is the IPv6 couldn't converges. Disable IPv6 of your Streamyx connection will solve the problem. Refer to the screenshot.

I dunno,
with my rig as in my sig right now, I'm surfing, running FM07, Genie FM07, watching video, and it still feels fine. Just lag a bit when WMP loads the codecs, but that's all.

If you want to install a clean version, better burn it. And usually it want to load files during DOS mode, when the emulator is not working

I think MS exegerate about Vista minimum requirement. As long as you have something like a ATI Radeon 9700/9800, with 512MB and a half decent processor like 1.5GHz (or above, except for P4).. it should be enough to do daily stuffs like checking emails, mp3s, chit chat messenger, etc. You can even disable some of the useless stuffs that does nothing but I dont have time to play around with it. I cant even connect with other PC using XP though I have the same workgroup. Weird. Haf to restart in XP liao... going to format soon...

so vista pc cant connect with xp pc?

mozilla cant conect to iternet wit vista......why? ver 2.0 btw

...mangkok 2 vista...XP is beter IMO........WE nEEd FASt FaST...Not CoOlness...
