How does the cash rebate being calculated? I bought a laptop last month and it costs RM 2570, by right I should receive RM 50.

I just checked M2U and it shows RM 14.61. Am I missing anything here? huh.gif

is that you bought it over weekend? as the cash rebate only for weekend (sat&sun).

I didnt go over RM50 this month and stop at RM49 plus. I received 3 cents less than my calculations. Not a big deal since it is just a small amount, but AMEX is clear cut, 5% on weekend and none on weekdays.

Make sure that the transaction date falls on weekends not the posting date.

haha, you've got the answer already.
In fact I wanted to quote your previous post. I remember you said Dell don't process payment on weekends hence you bought your laptop on a weekday. And you were satisfactory with the 5X TreatsPoints.

Added on June 2, 2011, 11:14 pmThe short balance of cash rebate for the month of April is finally credited together with May's cash rebate.

Spent not much in May. All are petrols LOL.

So i assume it's not worth buying from Dell Online since they don't process payment on weekends, unless of coz you can get discounts from their CS.

i only asked for 10k, for GST waiver.
another 22k, to account for the 50% of the labodega bill which i incurred based on their wrong advice.

currently i'm using the old maybank amex gold cc and a citibank mastercard. shall i cancel the maybank amex gold and citibank mastercard and apply for the maybank 2 card instead? this will save me the service tax.

but i'm just worry about that if all my cards are from maybank and if maybank's system is down, does it means that i'm not able to use both the cards? this is important as i sometimes use it to pay hotel and food overseas.

thanks

IMHO it's best to keep both cards you got because it's different bank issuer (Maybank and Citibank). Also, you'll be able to take advantage of promotion by both bank.
Also note that the features, offers and/or benefit of MBB dua cards is not the same as Amex gold.
If you are considering MBB2 cards, just ask for it from Maybank. They should issue you if your pay is more than 36K and have good payment records.
As to your concern on GST, some bank will waive it for you. Just give them a call.
