just receive a call from maybank card centre that i have been pre-approved and i do not have to do anything.

Forgot to ask when and where i can collect the cards. Have not see the cards in my online banking.

I only click the 'im interested button' and have existing maybank cc
*
Since you forgot to ask, why don't you call back CS and ask?
Do you really want the cards, or are you just interested only?

In the Product Disclosure Sheet it is already mentioned that the GST of M2Amex is waived by the bank.

But M2 Visa will still be charged with GST. So don't get too excited.

i wonder how long does it take for the bank to get back to us if we've applied for the card?
*
Usually within 10 working days.
You may follow up your application time after time so that they won't forget you tongue.gif

QUOTE(Garruk @ Mar 21 2011, 01:57 AM)

about the supp card for MBB2, will it be 2 supp cards or will it be only one(either AMEX or Visa/MC)? and how much to pay for GST for supp card rm25 for 2?or rm25x2 =rm50 for 2? i am thinking of getting supp card for my parent since they do most of the grocery shopping, can earn more points tongue.gif .
*
Supplementary cards of Maybankard 2 come as a pair of amex+visa/mc as well, however, you need to bear RM25 for EACH card, ie. RM50 for the pair.
No, you can't apply for only Amex supp card. It must come along with either a VISA or Mastercard.

I'm afraid one month's payslip is not likely to make application successful. Maybe you should apply at a later time when you have three months payslip.

In the product disclosure, it is stated that"
when you guys mentioned the conversion rate for the other cards, is the 2.5% interest already taken into factor? I wonder if all cards imposed this conversion fee?  hmm.gif
*
Visa/MC impose 1% admin charge on converted amount in Ringgit Malaysia.

Not sure this has been answered or not. May I know if I am still entitled for the 5% weekend cash rebate if I purchase something ONLINE in the weekend.
*
Yes you are entitled.
A few forummers here use M2Amex to book air tickets and hotel rooms online, and they did get cashback.

My amex can show in maybank2u. while m2card cannot show in maybank2u.
*
since you already have M2U account, the job is much easier.
Just go to any branch, tell them you want to link your M2 cards.
Please prepare a photocopy of your NRIC and M2 cards for bank's procedure.

Has anybody tried using MBB2 Amex for online shopping during weekends? Do you still get 5% rebate for online shopping or online payment? I was told by the agent that online payment is not eligible for 5% rebate.
*
A few forummers here book hotel room and air tickets using M2Amex on weekends, they did get 5% cashback. Hence you were misinformed by the agent.

just received my MBB2 platinum after 10 working days...

Is it safe to say that the visa card is pretty much useless unless the merchant do not accept Amex?
*
MBB Visa/Mastercard cards are useful for overseas spending because of competitive forex rates.

in terms of TreatPoints, is Maybankard2 AmEx, equivalent/analogous to Maybank's AmEx Credit Card?
*
Amex with Maybankard logo earns Treats Points.
Amex without Maybankard logo earns Member Rewards Points.
Both systems use separate redemption catalogue.

thanks for replying.
so which is more 'lucrative' then in terms of monetary value? TP or MR?
from here, it is stipulate that for every 200 MR points = RM1.
*
Yes, only MR points can be redeemed for CASH.
However, Treats Point is more useful when it comes to TREATS FAIR, where cardmembers can redeem items on the spot using much-lower-than-usual Treats Points.

Does TMPoint accept AMEX for paying TM bills ?
Are they open on weekends ?
*
IIRC it was reported that TMPoint (bangsar) accept AMEX and OPEN on Saturday.
Menara TM (as a HQ) should accept Amex gua...i guess.
