Omg.. Im being cheat.
He told me that the highest intern rate is 800.
I ask for 1500 but he don want to give me.
I should insist.
Any diploma intern get higher than 1200?
Please inform me thank you.
*
Internship normal rate is only RM 500, that's standard. You should be grateful if more than RM 1k. smile.gif
I got mine two years ago for RM 800, enough to cover my accommodation and transportation. laugh.gif
If this matters, it was a Degree intern. smile.gif

I though diploma intern and degree intern differents.
I should be grateful then.
Thanks. biggrin.gif

Heheh, got a job now. smile.gif Need feedback though.

Job Title : PR Consultant
Age: 22
Job Desciption : public relations duty
Years spent in company : 3 weeks
Location:PJ
Employment Level : Fresh graduate
Basic salary : RM 1.8k
Allowance: RM600 (need a lot of travel and calling)

I did my intern twice. Degree level for both. First place gave nothing but food (3 times a day) because "1 month it's too short". Okay.

Second place a PR agency. Gave me RM250. Sob. But at least I get snacks all the time, company dinner and random freebies (plus side in this industry). Lucky I live with my family and got my aunt to send me to work.

My friend who was in advertising agency got paid RM500 for intern post.

probably those high income earner have no time to come forum and post

Actually for employee like us, whats your plan annually salary increment? + 5% + 10% + 20%?
However i found this increment going to stagment unless you go work oversea when you salary hit the max cap in local industry

No you are not.

Its just that freshies nowadays do not know what they want.

Or some that does not prove themselves worthy of higher pay even after a number of years working.

Lowest employment level, yet they gave you a senior titling?

Well, if you think you deserve more, then you can negotiate. I don't think we are in the right position to know if this is considered low. We don't know your job descriptions to judge if you are underpaid. tongue.gif

For me, at times I do think I'm overly paid because my job isn't that difficult. laugh.gif

I'm a financial analyst previously and got promoted to be senior, in the same company. previously my salary was 2.2k..i din have a chance to negotiate because they didn't inform me my new salary until i receive my promotion letter.
hmm..maybe i should be grateful as i don't have much things to do now compared to before...

after reading through the last few pages, i can safely say
1) all those age below 30 earning below 10k - you are above average compared to what is being paid in market

2) new grads to the market : your pay is also quite ok.
