@dudey
I dont know but I think you should be more specific as Big4 deals with a lot more than just accounting / auditing and both of this gets even bigger.

There's IT audit, consulting, business advisory etc. So which one are you referring to ?

Thank you.

I think you can do better. Try jobstreet and look for Flextronics. They pay amazing wages for Process Engineers. With 5 years experience you will get a 5 figure salary. thumbup.gif

=.=...not really sure this is the right post to ask my question but owh well...hentam je.

i'm a fresh grad.
am going to end my probation very soon.
*whee~*
was wondering when is it more appropriate to discuss about my pay as a permanent staff. i'm pretty sure they'll keep me already cos i just talked with my superior about it recently...

should i wait until they ask me to sign the contract or i should discuss with them before they hand me the contract?

Shouldn't be a problem, provided you can justify your technical skills is solid. Heck, 3.2K(Negotiable) would be a nice figure in fact.

2600 + 20% = 3120. (Take the ceiling of the closest hundred: RM 3,200)
Most hoppers usually get a 10%-35% increase. 20% would be a safe bet.

Depends, SME or MNC.
Who's "call" is it to set the package? Your manager or HR?
Most companies have an allocated budget, hence the likelihood of you renego-ing another package is pretty difficult but not impossible. But generally, you talk about the package when the other party(HR or Manager) mentions about the package.

@prelude23
Getting RM2.5k pay in SARAWAK is GREAT for a fresh graduate. Of course it could be higher but you are way above the market average there.

But as you can see, bonus really sucks lol.

I asked most of my colleague and most of them got 50% of per month salary.

And increment sucks too. My colleague 5 years working there RM3.2k only. So demotivating lol.

Hopefully I'll get a better offer after working few years here.

Money is not a concern at early stage and you should try to diversify your technical skills first initially. Consulting firms will be a good place to do that as you'll be assigned to different kind of projects and challenges. ABAP should be your core but if you have any chances to do other technical skills like portal, bw, workflow or XI, then go ahead by all means. Once  you have strong grasp on all technical areas, you could go to end user to learn more on industry and business processes. A good technical consultant is the one that understands the business and has deep industry knowledge as you would be able to comprehend and provide a better solution. At this stage,  you might switch to functional if you want to or doing a hybrid role like BW (techno-functional). At the end of the day, you yourselves decide what's best for your career development. Do you like to manage people? deal with human relation? or you are just the opposite kinda person? Anyhow, build a strong technical foundation first, then decide what's best for you. Lastly, if you could, do it for the passion and not for money.

Thanks for your opinion. I'm looking for balance between job satisfacation & of course same for money.
Feel abit stuck in current situation.

Anyone in same field, i.e. SAP ABAP mind to share his/her career path?
List out the career path with position + job scope + working period + salary...need some guidance here.

Well my company is a MNC.
Although they've told me that once i'm a confirmed staff,
I'll receive a certain amount of allowance based on my work load...
But I'm expecting them to give me a raise in terms of my basic salary.

i want to inquiry about the bonus issues...

assumed i planned to resign when October but company will provide contractual bonus (wasn't performance bonus) when December... the company is well-known by everyone and big enough with ISO standard...
Do i still able to get 10 months pro-rate contractual bonus from the company after the resignation?
