How about the salary for researcher/research engineer(actually for fresh graduate) smile.gif

Depending on what you're doing and where you're working under.

Could be as low as RM 1,500 and as high as RM 4,000.

Shouldn't be a problem, provided you can justify your technical skills is solid. Heck, 3.2K(Negotiable) would be a nice figure in fact.

2600 + 20% = 3120. (Take the ceiling of the closest hundred: RM 3,200)
Most hoppers usually get a 10%-35% increase. 20% would be a safe bet.

=.=...not really sure this is the right post to ask my question but owh well...hentam je.

i'm a fresh grad.
am going to end my probation very soon.
*whee~*
was wondering when is it more appropriate to discuss about my pay as a permanent staff. i'm pretty sure they'll keep me already cos i just talked with my superior about it recently...

should i wait until they ask me to sign the contract or i should discuss with them before they hand me the contract?

=p

Depends, SME or MNC.
Who's "call" is it to set the package? Your manager or HR?
Most companies have an allocated budget, hence the likelihood of you renego-ing another package is pretty difficult but not impossible. But generally, you talk about the package when the other party(HR or Manager) mentions about the package.

but thought contractual bonus should be some sort of "fixed" bonus or aka salary?
if performance bonus will variable and company can decide to pay or not depend how much company earned...

Check your contract. There are some contracts written black and white stating if you've not completed the full tenure you're not entitled the contract.

By default, contract positions you should get a pro-rata in bonus. (Check contract)
Permanent employment on the other hand, well definitely no such thing as pro-rata.

If I have Master degree in IT and various professional certifications - Microsoft > 12 certificates (MCTS x 6, MCITP x 4, MCDST), A+, Security+, Server+, ITIL v3, CWNP (CWTS,CWNA), but without job experience. Should I accept the offer for 1 year Help-desk position with Rm 2000 (basic)?: . I was advised by some of my friends to gain experience first before applying for a better technical position .. is it the right step?  hmm.gif  hmm.gif  hmm.gif

Don't settle for anything less than 2.5k and don't go for helpdesk position.
In addition do not expect much openings till January, cause most employees will stay till end of Dec to get their year-end bonus.

I had a degree and an OCA(Oracle Certified Associate) and I still manage to secure a 2.8k+300 job (2 Years Ago).
