do u know why?
cos IEM n BEM are controlled by the bosses of engineering companies...
if they push to raise the salary of engineers, it would mean that they have to fork out more to pay their engineers...

Study! U will probably spend the rest of your life working anyway, why start so early? Enjoy first!  whistling.gif
*
U should use the time u have doing nothing to do something else. Then u earn 2 times!!
get 6.5k doing nothing, do some other stuff that can earn n learn n grow!!
that's so nice!

it is rm 480 a month for 10 years.

If u leave the company <10 years time frame, u need to return back every penny they gave u. =_=

If u work within the company for 10 years then u dont have to repay back
*
This is a tricky situation u r getting urself into...when u wanna quit after a certain amount of years...u will think of this money that u have to payback...
hahaha, be careful...

i'm in some kind of shit like this...but not exactly the same...

Whoa! I didn't know that lowyat has something like this. Anyhoo here is mine.

Job Title : Quality Reliability Engineer (basically is what QA did)
Job Desciption : Quality monitoring, controlling + dealing with customers.
Years spent in company : Just joined
Company : Local Company (Ipoh) HOMETOWN
Industry : Semiconductor
Tenure : permanent
Employment Level : Engineer 1 (still under probation)
Experience before joining : None
Salary : RM 2.5k (the same for 1st class deg)
Benefits : Std: medical, epf etc.

I have two more offers from Penang based company.
Company A with RM 3.1k (1st class deg) same position QRE.
Company B with RM 3.1k (1st class deg) R&D Engineer.

Any suggestion on which should I choose?
*
Cost of living is higher in Penang compared to Ipoh...
if you factor that in, plus your return trip to your hometown...do u still think the additional 600 is worth it?
u still have to pay rental...
well, there r pros n cons....

That's actually what in my mind also, that's why I choose Ipoh.

I have another question, do you think you can raise your salary to 5-6k in 3 years time. Cause I'm getting an offer to further my studies in PhD.
Most of the PhD holders told me that once you have a PhD (Engineering) your salary will be at least 5-6k even when you are fresh grad without experience.

Thanks alot.
*
Maybe in R&D line...other engineering..i'm not sure
well, it depends on what u do for your PhD as well
if it's related and will be beneficial to the company, maybe they will pay that amount...

Hi guys I would like know what salary should I request for as an accountant trainee?Full time.
No experience and graduate of cat(certified accounting technician)
I am also pursuing acca but would like to start work and finish acca at the same time.
Could a trainee be paid under 1000?
I was hoping at least in the range of 1000 to 1500?
Is it too much?
Opinions would be greatly appreciated Thanks.
*
I was an intern for only 550...
some interns dun even get money at all...
y can't trainee be paid less than 1000?
basically they r giving u knowledge n experience...
they have no obligation to give u knowledge n money...
hehehe
1000-1500 is damn good man.
