QUOTE(kelvin_tan @ Mar 10 2011, 08:34 AM) @sunofabeach I would nt be asking here if I have an idea about the position and industry. Any way appreciated your commentsNobody answered you because your question is so vague. 1 year working exprienc as a dumpster vs 1 year experience as an engineer. The pay difference is so huge here. State the position and industry. Be specific. Generally fresh grads executive positions in malaysia range from RM1.6k - RM4.5k. |

Am I right to assume you are still studying? Anyway, if you are looking for answers, provide sufficient details in order for fellow forumers to help you. |

QUOTE(kelvin_tan @ Mar 10 2011, 07:01 PM) @sunofabeach Indeed I am still pursuing my degree. I know there is no solid answers for my questions, was wondering if someone could share the point of views so that I can roughly have a better insight on fresher pay Malaysia.Am I right to assume you are still studying? Anyway, if you are looking for answers, provide sufficient details in order for fellow forumers to help you. So far, most thing I heard is still not very convincing . . |

then I'll cut you a break. Since you do not have working experience yet. Fresh grads pay can start at 1.6 - 4.5k. RM1.6k jobs are mostly found out of Selangor/ KL although there are still companies that pay that amount in selangor / kl. Generally degree jobs should pay between 2.2k - 2.8k assuming you are an average performer. Jobs that pay above 2.8k usually are management trainee programs / jobs that require you to be offshore / or if you are the best and manage to management consultancy firms like McKinsey (USD3k starting pay in malaysia), Boston Consulting, etc. IT role standard pay (Not designing job) RM2.2k - RM4k Finance pay is pretty standard. RM2.3k - RM3.3k Engineering (Not Oil and Gas) RM2.2k - 2.8k Engineering (Oil and Gas) RM3k - RM7k All the above is based on degree qualifications. Anybody, please feel free to correct me. QUOTE(sniperz @ Mar 11 2011, 11:08 AM) Just to clarify through all the average salary made through qualifications(exclude working experience and field):- AFAIK, rough rough average.. if is to compare EM-WMEast Malaysia Certificate = RM900 - 1100 Diploma = RM1200 - 1800 Degree = RM1500 - 2000 SPM fresh graduates/leaver will perhaps only earn RM600 - RM900. when WM Certificate = RM1000 - 1200 Diploma = RM1400 - 2200 Degree = RM1800 - 2500 EM should be Certificate = RM600 - 900 Diploma = RM1000 - 1200 Degree = RM1200 - 1500 true story |

I can't find a job with a good salary in Malaysia as an R&D engineer. Besides that it seems that Malaysia doesn't offer a lot of R&D jobs. |

As much as we are hearing that, I dont think there has been reliable information on it so far. Which is why I was dubious. But nevertheless, that can happen in the OnG industry |

Not sure what is that but the way you mentioned it, it seems like internship? But 12 months is pretty long.
