I am so confused right now rclxub.gif

The jobscope I have been doing within this 12 months (in fact it's a year out full time job) includes the engineers responsibility such as leading projects, assist engineers in planning preventative maintenance, designing maintenance strategy, lead some maintenance meeting and currently have been given 1 experienced mechanics and 1 experienced electrician to work for me etc. .Besides that, i am oftenly being sent to join courses that is compulsory for engineers in my company too. Are all this not considered as working experience?? Oh my goodness. . what kind of jobscope would be considered as proper working experience then ?? can anyone explain sad.gif

If u call an internship a job, then everyone has had working experience. I had an internship prior to getting my job.

I still cant figure out why situation in Malaysia is so not encouraging sad.gif

Even with the current placement I am doing,it sounded like the experience that I gain from work currently has no difference from a student who is carrying on the degree then blush.gif

doh.gif So the fact is work placement experience is a process of earning pocket money and will not be appreciated / recognised by anyone out there? blush.gif

How about someone here could explain to me how is a so called '' proper working experience'' in an engineering field like?

If you think the 12months that you've spent for this internship is a fruitful experience, just put it into you CV and present yourself during interviews.

You don't need ppl to keep telling you what you need to say or write in your CV.

One of the main qualities that great interviewers in big organization looked for is the confidence of interviewees in believing what they can/could achieve.

Such qualities are the type that's gonna leave a deep impression on the interviewers.

Job Desciption : Sales (Electrical Field)
Years spent in company : 1/2

Industry : Electrical
Tenure : Permanent
Experience before joining : Sales & Marketing in FMCG industry
Experience before joining : In a way fresh grad (Interviewers said never been in electrical field b4 despite being in sales)

Current Salary : RM 1.8k
Benefits: Petrol (RM300/mth), Car Maintenance (RM300/mth)
Working hours : Mon-Fri (8-5.30pm)

I mean, honestly, is this underpaid? I feel like..... like crap. No commission even if i brought rm200k to company in 2months. =="

Anyhow, side-track abit, can i ask..... Isit correct/ethical if company do not want to accept Medical Certs? My company based in Klang Valley, i went to Johor, fall sick and take MC. Come back KL, they reject my MC. Unfair or acceptable? Regards to all.

Kinda unfair in this way, sales should give commission. Depends company policy, they provide you so salary with petrol, they expect you should bring sales in in SALES term.

Lets put it this way alright? And this is going to be harsh but DO NOT THINK TOO HIGHLY OF YOURSELF.

Your internship experience helps enhance your chance of securing the job / interview but it is by no means considered real working experience. Do not expect a senior pay when you come out for your first job. Everyone starts from the bottom.

Internship is internship
working experience is working experience.

No doubt internship experience will enhance your resume and gives u a better chance at securing an interview / job.

However, when you go out and look for a job, never look at urself as "an experienced worker".

Pardon me on that. I just tell out my points without beating around the bush. It is a harsh reality when you come out to work sadly:(

If I did offend you, I apologize. I was just stating out my points in the most direct manner and hopefully you will view it constructively.

Would you rather me tell you that the workforce is full of rainbows and butterflies with fairies sparkling gold and silver dust everywhere?

This is to prepare people to face the working world which is harsh.

I dont know about you people encouraging youngsters out there.

Myself would nt say things like this to youngsters. Everyone knows the fact working is not easy, but at least letting youngsters begin the career and learn all the way with confidence. Sharing experience to youngsters is fine, but depressing them at 1st before they even have the chance to experience it. . I think that is not quite a right way.

Anyway, that's just my thought, again I do not mean to challenge anyone in here.
