QUOTE(sniperz @ Mar 11 2011, 11:08 AM) Just to clarify through all the average salary made through qualifications(exclude working experience and field):- East MalaysiaCertificate = RM900 - 1100 Diploma = RM1200 - 1800 Degree = RM1500 - 2000 SPM fresh graduates/leaver will perhaps only earn RM600 - RM900. AFAIK, rough rough average.. if is to compare EM-WM when WM Certificate = RM1000 - 1200 Diploma = RM1400 - 2200 Degree = RM1800 - 2500 EM should be Certificate = RM600 - 900 Diploma = RM1000 - 1200 Degree = RM1200 - 1500 true story

Any thoughts? I say quite low the pay. But then again, see la what you do, what exactly is this "making user guides for the software/website" is. What are the things you do there.. If little, copy this that, print or something, search net for data or something, that fine. If not, if the work is little hard, yea sounds low, kfc/mcd better pay.

QUOTE(skyevo91 @ Jun 9 2012, 07:16 PM) Hi, Anyone work in property field? can someone tell me how much basic salary + other commission or benefit for a fresh grad doing Real Estate negotiator? i work in property, but not EA.. but my company got EA jugak lah.. frsh grad would be hard imo, since estate agent/negotiator require skill, experience, street knowledge, connection, etc rather than cert.. and from my limited experience, learning from a senior might also be hard because its a dog eat dog kinda place with real estate negotiatior .. they compete fiercely.. but hey, i'm not close to that field, i might be wrong.. are u a fresh grad of Real Estate? QUOTE(co_upe @ Jun 11 2012, 06:41 PM) Hi. One of my friend in property field. His commission is 1% per month. Last time he sold RM 2 million worth of houses and received RM 20K as commission. But his basic is low. Around 1.2K if I'm not mistaken. Lots of hard work. His working schedule is usually from morning to night. Sit in shopping complex almost all day, looking for potential buyer. No chance to get holiday during public holiday since it is the day that shopping mall will be most crowded, means that it would be easier to attract customers. Good luck. as far as i'm concern, commision for agent usually 2% (at least in sabah, idk where u at).. agree basic is low, and some more u are gonna be hated, since if u gung ho agent always looking for buyer, pushin people to sell their property, you're gonna be damn annoying.. and if the seller and buyer met/got to know each other, u're done.. it is hard for newcomer in the field.. only when u old and experienced and know lots of people will you got the taste of the cream.

QUOTE(yugimudo @ Jun 18 2012, 01:10 PM) Hello everyone, sorry jumping all of sudden but I think I want to share my 2 cent too. I believe, it is bullshit fresh grad can get RM 3k starting salary nowadays. The competition is getting hectic as my batch (2008, 4 years course, BEE) are joining the frenzy as well. Not mentioning graduates from other discipline, universities, IPTA & IPTS. Why the hell should they pay you 3k, 10k, 17k when there are so many is settling for 2.5k?» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Face the truth, w/o experience and skill certificates, you are lucky just to get hired. For the AS case, I believe it is not as different as my degree. Same shit different name, maybe different years of study. Who cares? Employee will receive hundreds resume, they can pick the best with lowest salary demand. *Note to those are in process of picking course and universities: Malaysian universities are a joke. Im not degrading Malaysia bcoz Im from IPTA myself so I know. Just pick any course and make sure you got at least 3 pointer, below than that u r f up. Links and cables r ur 1st aim. Saying otherwise is like lying 2 urself. Enjoy ur uni life. Dun b a bookworm unless u r aiming for master degree. *added note: Plz be friendly to "sniors" and "professionals", they may b ur way of getting a job With that, I hope 4 the best of you all nad have a nice day Added on June 18, 2012, 1:12 pmWorking experience helps. Fresh entry will just have to hope for the best. For SPM holders to gain that much, I salute him Thank you! This is the most realistic answer (to me, personally).. Hearing people getting 3k, 4k, on first job is just..i personally can't comprehend.. because all the people I know is getting 1.8k, 2.2k, 2.5k, 3k would be max. But hey, maybe I dont know good fresh grad doctor or "actuary" As you said, generally speaking there are many fresh grad out there earning 2k. Many. So when we hear some fresh grad are earning 3k, 4k, we should also consider the many more earning 2k, before saying what we think fresh grads are earning these days, generally, of course.. Competiton is tough, too many graduates too little big buck job market.. and many fresh grads are of poor quality, employers/gen x are looking down on gen y which makes things harder.. QUOTE(cranx @ Jun 19 2012, 12:30 AM) Should start a new thread to debate on rm10k pay for actuarial science students.
