It used to be no academic qualifications at all as it is a technical job which squarely based on experience. But now usually it required minimum diploma to land u a job, and with experience u get your license. Or roll into proper aircraft maintenance program n get your experience n license in a go, this is what MAS n AA is doing. I'm 30 and I became an engineer at 28, but I'm a late bloomer .

QUOTE(kelvin_tan @ Apr 30 2011, 09:31 PM) Take a look at his workhours. I dont think anyone can do it. It must be pretty harsh and I believe whenever a company decides to pay you high, they expect more than what u are being paid in return to them. heh, my workplace doing 12hrs daily includes saturday & sunday. For salary+allowance+OT=below 3500. OK or not? Seriously need rest. wow, i quote April's posting? LOL This post has been edited by fieznur81: Sep 15 2011, 11:05 PM

QUOTE(popcorn513 @ Sep 15 2011, 07:53 PM) nice.... I think not much people can do this job Trust me, those maintenance guys have a huge burden to carry, especially helly guys. If an aeroplane engineer screws up, pilots can still land the with a high chance of survival. But when a helly goes haywire in the air, all hell breaks loose!!

QUOTE(jitshiong @ Sep 17 2011, 12:21 PM) your statement kinda confusing... so they pay more to hire teenagers? let me rephrase... do companies offer better salary to younger graduates compare to 'senior' graduates? let's just say both have 0 experience. im sure there are a lot of older graduates out there. Or...does it depend on the interview itself.

QUOTE(teckyuan @ Mar 8 2011, 03:39 PM) cs i heard other ppl say which university u graduated from will influence your pay.. and most sg company don't look at Malaysia univeristy cert. This is y malaysian hard to get a job in singapore.. It this wat happen is the real world??? Not all cases la, but generally yes. Cannot blame people also, they are not blind what, they do understand very well what is the situation in Malaysia University. Not competitive at all, and very skill... less.
