Yes, it is very possible for the O&G sector. But I'm more interested in finding out the salary range for those in the electronics/semiconductor industry. So far for those that I know, even very good ones barely hit 10k in just 7 years, and I'm referring to those top MNCs in Penang.

Hi guys... I'm soon graduate with Degree in Mechanical Engineering (4months to go) with 2nd class upper.Have plenty of Co-curriculum achievements and participation. I have 2 years experience as Technician in Manufacturing Industry previously after finished Diploma study.
Q1 : Does my 2 years exp counts for me to demand salary when apply for jobs? Q2 : If does, what range of salary probably I should ask?

No point risking your health for such job. Salary wise, I think it's OK though I got more than that when I joined my current company also after my internship with them. If I were you, I won't accept. It is bad for long run.

Wait till you work in KV area with RM3k salary with high cost of living. But I cant comment on how much you deserve based on years of experience. If you wish to get out, try to demand higher salary because of your experience. If they really appreciate you, then a bit higher salary at the age of 28 living in Malacca is just nice. I dont think it's underpaid. It's no harm to try the market anyway.
