Hello all,

Just would like to ask your opinions (before travelling to Korea). A friend of mine has asked me to invest with her in a cafe, which she planned to open in Seoul. When I googled for Seoul and cafe, there are many (many) cafes in Seoul, and most of them look really trendy and nice. Just would like to ask you Seoul-lites, do you think opening a cafe in Seoul is a feasible option? Or is it over saturated?

Thank you very much! rclxms.gif

For concerts, there are no upcoming concerts in Korea atleast... for the next few weeks.
However there is still the usually weekly music shows of Mnet Mcountdown, KBS Music Bank, MBC Music Core and SBS Inkigayo.

For KBS Music Bank, you will need invitations to get in.. so you'll need to find some connection with the fanbase of an idol/idol group who is performing that day.
As for Mnet Mcountdown (Thursday) and MBC Music Core (Saturday), you can usually just go to the places and then talk to some of the fanbase leaders to let you in.

SBS Inkigayo is quite strict, so you need connections also from the inside to get in. smile.gif

Neither SNSD nor Kara will be performing for atleast the next few weeks.

To be honest, it is over saturated.
Especially in Seould definitely... at almost every corner you're bound to see a cafe.

It all comes down to the concept of the cafe you're trying to open.
Koreans love trying new stuff not from their own country, different concepts from the outside.
So do more research before plunging in. smile.gif

Hopefully? haha..
Usually right now it shouldn't be 8c degrees at day time, should be hovering around the 12-15c already and there should be sunlight as well.

Yup lucky I got to ride the cable car. And totally agree with you about the wind.Up there,we had to crouch down. I didn't hike up until the batu-batu parts, but the wind was already strong like crazy we had to hold on to each other, afraid somebody would fall off.And the view was breathtaking.......

no doubt the wind is very strong,i was told that there is a kid got blown away by the wind before but not far i think, just lifted and went few meters backward.

Bonquet? It is not Baguette?

Btw, just got back this morning. Yup it was snowing the other day. Weird. I was eating at Itaewon and it suddenly poured. Had to buy payung, but no space to fit in luggage. Left at the hotel. And it was a cute payung! doh.gif

Laily, you have been a great savior! With your info, i manage to look out on the van from Jeju Hiking Inn..
They quoted me KRW160,000 for 9 people. It is cheap compared to Yeha tour! and we can plan our itinerary as well...

Thanks a lot!! biggrin.gifD

QUOTE(laily enelya @ Mar 23 2011, 10:32 PM)
Yup,we rent the van from Jeju Hiking Inn, which costs us KRW120,000 per day from 9am to 6pm.The van could accomodate 6-7 people.

Sure enough it will be cheaper than KL bcos they are mfg there minus the transport & also tax. but don't expect rock bottom pricing

I took Air Busan to Jeju. Compared to Eastar, it's cheaper.
