Is it compulsory to have international driving license to drive in Korea?
Any car rental company in Jeju that provide car rental service without the need of international license?

I also prefer Myeungdung than Dongdaemun. A bit 'high' class than Dongdaemun.
I found shopping at Myeungdung, Ehwa University and Express Bus Terminal station underground not bad. |

Just back from 11D/10N in korea.
I agreed with someone here that saying there are 2 opposite extreme ppl that I meet, one type very good and friendly, another type was rude. When i arrived Sokcho at night, a young lady and a middle age uncle bring us all the way from bus terminal to the guest house, it was like they are waiting there for us, never met this kind of ppl in malaysia, if there are one, they will ask for tips. Another opposite extreme was like what the forumer here said, pushing ppl at subway. Come on, i already stand aside, and they still want to push it through. They even push those old Korean ahjuuma there And Korean skin really white and smooth and their makeup I think even those old ahjuuma skin also smooth than my skin Some fast tips - Buy t-money, it cost u 3000 won but easier for u to travel around with subway. It give u discount 100 won for every trip and no need to buy ticket everytime. U can top up and refund at 7-11, GS25, Family mart, etc. - Almost everything is expensive over there except cosmetic, skin care items, seaweed, green tea and subway. Even bus also expensive. - Famous shopping spots, Myeungdung, Namdaemun, Dongdaemun, Ehwa University and underground at Express Bus Terminal station (orange line) Myeungdung - mostly are cosmetics and skin care, stalls selling those hp casing, cute keychains and food, and branded shops. Good if u like skin care and cosmetic items. I tried one ice cream shop there not bad, called Cold Stone (or Stone Cold). Dongdaemun - mostly fashion, shopping mall like Doota, and hawker food stalls. To be honest i don't really like shop at Dongdaemun, the place filled with Korean versions of Ah beng and ah lian there Namdaemun - like our petaling street. got kid fashion, clothes, souvenir and food stalls there. Price quite cheap and those hawker food stalls there are not bad. Ehwa University - got mixtures of shop and stall also selling cosmetic, skin care and fashion. Price is quite cheap here too, bought a bag here. Underground at Express Bus Terminal - mostly fashion, got sell fresh flowers, arts, decoration lights and furnitures there too. Price here is competitive too. Oh ya, u can try to checkout the Lotte Duty Free shop near Myeungdung there. They have 15% discount for certain items. I bought 2 Swatch watches there, very cheap Later i post my itinerary |

QUOTE(nagaraputra @ Apr 20 2011, 01:28 PM) hi all, i travel with my small 2yrs old niece with stroller but with subway, so not sure about taxi.i'm flying to korea this weekend. even though followed this thread since last year but still worry as this is the 1st time going to oversea plus 2 kids. is it ok to bring 2 strollers (umbrella type) to move around in seoul? will stay in Dangnam. just read from other forum, the taxi in Seoul very strict. Those kid with age 3 and above cannot sit on parents lap. will the driver help us to bring in and out strollers for us? any other quick tips that can share?espcecially those who had experience travel with small kids tqvm. we got ride once on taxi i think the driver will help u. for bus, u need to put in front of the bus there if i not mistaken. subway will be more troublesome as u need to carry yourselves. |
