Sifu Fornaxlife, can help me?

Overclocked sounds great. But I'm more conservative. Hehe.
I just wonder is there any benefit for choosing Damian kernel if I don't do OC or UV?
Can I install all voodoo, speedmod, and Damian kernel and changed them whenever I like in the recovery mode?
*
err, though you don't oc or uv, you can try damian kernel also.. some claimed it to be faster than speedmod without oc/uv

of course you can't flash all at once.. but if you wanna switch kernels (for example damian to speedmod), just disable lagfixes and tweaks before proceeding to cwm and you're good to go icon_idea.gif

if you are switching kernels from (speedmod k12a to k12b), you don't have to disable anything before flashing.. same goes to voodoo and damian

I do find that my SGS becomes laggy after I use market enabler to apply to other telcos. Anyone do find the same?
*
I can confirm that when you simulate other Carriers using market enabler, your phone becomes laggy (Open sms, emails, etc takes a few sec of black screen, even scrolling between screen is not smooth). Now that I re-booted and it becomes smooth and fast again on my Simply SweetHoney ROM. thumbup.gif

I am on 2.4.1 update thru the small package. I thought zsjpe modem is standard in 2.4 ROM? 2.4.1 only a small update on the notification bar, wifi codes touch up and squash some bugs, if I remember correctly.

download speedmod kernel which gives you a cwm recovery..

then install simply rom through cwm

how many files does the dxjpe have? 3 or 1?

You have to finish flashing DXJPE first and then reboot.

Then flash speedmod kernel odin method.

Actually if you downloaded eclair firmware like JM8, you can straightaway flash sweethoney 2.4 because eclair firmwares has 2e recovery. Thus no need to flash speedmod kernel to get 2e recovery.

Hello, I plan to get an Android phone.
I am very new as this would be my 1st Android.

I happen to come across Galaxy S SL....i know it is a h/w downgrade from SGS.

I'd like to find out the volume of the SGS loudspeaker. GSMArena mentioned it is below average while Mobile Review said it is strong. I did hear over the counter on SG SL - I think it is pretty OK - at least louder than HTC Desire HD.

Also, any reason why pick SGS over HTC Desire or Desire HD or SE X10?

Hope you guys can answer me as i know my Qs are pretty lame considering u guys are flashing ROMs.

Thks!!!
