E:can't open /mnt/sdcard/update.zip (no such file or directory) installation aborted means froyo flashing time or your can use method flash to zip file on sd card and locate the .zip file in your sd card.. |

using simply rom after ages of living in darkness...rom is nice..very2 simple..smooth also...flash straight from darky rom instead of flash stock rom first...first got a few FC and my wi-fi got error...
got everything rectified and damn..mybackup cannot backup/restore all apps..must use titanium backup to do the work..and trust me!!!..one by one..even for fonts...arghhh.. |

QUOTE(coD33 @ Mar 5 2011, 03:59 PM) Well im using insanity 0.6.3 that comes together with that modem. Its a modem extracted from JV1 (gingerbread) leak rom i guess.. However nitr8 does put a link for the modem upgrade. Not sure u can upgrade it directly (coz its only compatible with previous insanity rom), but my best advice would be extract the modem.bin and flash it with odin. I do have alternative to flash it from cwm, but its much more hassle.. done..thank you buddy...flashed it thru cwm....will try later cos here it's gonna rain...thanks again...Here's the modem download Got it from this page under Insanity 0.6.3 Upgrade Modem (JVE) |

QUOTE(coD33 @ Mar 5 2011, 04:16 PM) U are welcome! Wooot.. u directly flashed it with cwm? Coz that file is meant for previous insanity. Don't flame me if something goes wrong k! yeah..i checked the imodem.zip from the link you gave me...the important things when want to flash tru cwm is META-INF and update folder...hehehe..if anything goes wrong...perhaps nothing will goes wrong...never heard somebody flash modem and killed his dog!!!hahahaBtw, if it goes well, congrats! |

QUOTE(lch78 @ Mar 6 2011, 02:38 PM) Short review of Sweethoney 2.4 ROM: (I install the WIPE version) did you use test the gps using the given modem?..ZSJPE?...i tried and cannot find any single sats yesterday...already flashed to GB modem JVEUI: Sleek. But overall the colour mix and match still I prefer the Darkyy scheme. Speed: Snappy I would say. Can really feel JS5 improvement over JPY. Everything loads and opens faster. For eg. task manager>application, can scroll straight away without jerk even though it is still loading. Bootanimation: Some thing new and better IMO. Bugs: Other than the gallery bug (already replaced), I don't encounter others yet.. Feel less bugs than Darkyy overall. Icons: Acceptable to me. Battery life: No comment yet. Haven't been thoroughly tested but so far nothing significant to report. Seems normal. Browsing Internet: Good. Fast and smooth with JS5 browser even during loading stage. Miren is faster too here compare when was in Darkyy. Not sure why. GPS: Incredibly fast lock up. Can even lock satellites inside my bathroom. (Not able to do that last time in Darkyy) Current settings: 10 pages in appdrawer. 7 homescreens full of shortcuts n widgets. Auto-syncing on with gmail, facebook n whatsapp. Background data on, Location on, 3G n HSDPA on. NoLED on using Accessibility. WIFI on and never off even after leaving WIFI zone. All recommended tweaks in speedmod are enabled. RFS all. Based on initial observation, I think this ROM can last me till a stable Gingerbread comes. |

QUOTE(lch78 @ Mar 6 2011, 03:14 PM) I got mine in Aug 2010. Don't think it is first batch. Did you tried LBS mode to test then? But if now is working fine for you, then just forget it. now using xxjve modem...don't try it yet...because it's raining and cloudy since morning...need a clear sky...nvm...thanks for the feedback lch.... so far satisfied with simply rom..don't have FC on dialer anymore like on darkyy last time...boot off animation like old tv..i like...and seem smoother than darkyys..did not activated any tweaks or lagfix....the only things bothers me now is gps...it's not a big deal to me tho'..hehehe |
