i sign up at the berjaya time square booth there... there were show casing on the ground floor.
i was kinda in a rush so i just habis register then walk away liao.
forget to tick a few option as well to terminate the streamyx...

after they install the unifi then go to TM point there and terminate it myself...much more secure.

When your application is complete, they will give u a report number as well to check on your status. If you have no report number, i guess its still in process

Oh this is annoying.. I can't watch IPTV. Error 108001. Called the tech support and they said they'll lodge a report... which is another way of saying 'sorry we have no idea what's going on. too bad for you'.

For me, i applied with the UNIFI CS which they called me whether to upgrade to UNIFI or not. They will ask u details everything bla bla, even confirming to choose which new number. Once everything done, they just confirm my report number plus installation date. Very efficient without needing to fill up any form hehe rclxms.gif

STB failed to turn on while trying to watch free channel this early morning.
Logged a report 3.00am in the morning and got an appointment on the same day afternoon 3.30pm.
Surprisingly, TM representative called up in the morning 10.30am for immediate appointment around 11.00am.
Two of them turn up and found plug adapter faulty and replaced with new one immediately.
Whole process take less than 5 minute and TV broadcasting back to normal.
Really thumb up for their fast response !!! rclxms.gif thumbup.gif

First of all, Gateway IP is usually obtained from the PPPoE server or the DHCP server. For those behind the network, the Gateway IP is the router that has a direct link to the internet (again, given by the DHCP server). For a computer (or a router) with the direct link to the internet, the one from PPPoE would be your gateway IP. I gave you the rough outline, could you tell me what do you mean by the Gateway IP that you set? How did you set it? By PPPoE? At the DHCP server?

AFAIK, just plug the network switch to a lan port on the DIR-615 and you're good to go, without changing anything at all. Once you change something, be prepared dude, you need some skills and understanding.
*
I understand.
Just assume that i want to use my own gateway IP and i dont wanna to use my fixed IP as my gateway IP.
This can be done with my previous setup (streamyx fixed ip enterprise package).

QUOTE(VerM @ Mar 23 2011, 03:57 PM)
first of all, before messing around with the setting, you should have tried to simply plug and play . This to ensure everything works, the ppoe dialer, unifi connectivity, etc...

again, if you dont have the knowledge and experience just leave the default setting...
*
Simply plug and play is working, but i want to set static ip for all pcs in my office.

Thanks again.

EDIT: It is working now... i am using Dynamic PPPOE instead of Static PPPOE and it solves the problem.
