Guys, are anyone experiencing any problem booting up the phone after updating to kernel power 51?

My N900 was fine and all until I updated to KP51 And decided to reboot it. It did boot up to the home screen and rebooted itself before any icons and widget are loaded.. and this repeats..

Any idea of what's wrong? I didn't find anybody talking about this problem in maemo forum..
*
Did you upgrade using HAM? i updated it with HAM and everything is fine.

QUOTE(lightastral @ Aug 3 2012, 08:14 PM)
no problems so far. more reliable than my pc.

worst case scenario you can just reflash it. its very hard to brick n900.
*
It's actually quite easy to brick the N900 COMPARED to other devices. That's just because no other device in the planet gets skewered, butchered, operated, and gutted like the N900.

ok just got a mighty N900 refurbished set from a shop . they said it's demo set and he tells me that bluetooth not working .

how to make it working back ?

the seller said to me that the bluetooth not working because of the firmware , not the hardware itself.

Just follow the steps to re flash to stock firmware. Follow the steps in TMO. everything should be fine then.

I highly recommend cssu stable as well, but go for stock first and then only decide what you want.

Thanks guys.
I'll try reflashing it later. Having final exam now tongue.gif
I know the N900 is virtually unbrickable, but because my N900 is physically damaged once (read my previous post), I'm afraid it might cause my N900 to be unstable internally.. loose wires or circuits or something?

Anyways, I'll try flashing it after my exams. Thanks guys!

TMO is our only Maemo community, you can get all the software plus all those user created programs specially made for N900, go to maemo.org to find out

N900 maps are available through nokia suite, however no speech guide supported by Nokia...hmm...then again at TMO, someone make it speak whistling.gif

Nitdroid officially don't overwrite your Maemo system, it is installed on a memory card and run as dual OS system, then again, someone also teach you how to installed it into the phone memory chip, consult first page here.

ouch. do you see the bluetooth function present in settings? or it's not even there?

I'm not sure if this will work.. but try

CODE
root
apt-get install bluezwitch
reboot

and see if that helps. Later, add the widget to your desktop and try to use that to activate bluetooth

No longer have my N900, using HTC Sensation now. But still somewhat miss the desktop-grade web browser, true multitasking and the real-time task manager thumbnails found on N900.
