I think my N900 is permanently damaged.
I tried flashing it today.

I typed in the command prompt :
flasher-3.5.exe -F <file name> -f

is just shows <file name> : 0%

and nothing...
I think it's time I accept the truth my N900 has really died.. haiz..

True that it's not truely dead but it's useless if i cant reflash it. I did it in the past before, no reason why it cant now. It still does boot up but i get very weird colors and all words appear to be small squares.

someone modify it to speak long ago via espeak, but i think mostly use sygic for a more easier approach. Some additional info, Nokia Suite discontinue the map function for N900 unable to install it back to phone if you format the phone now.


did you key in the wrong filename?

Nope. I dont think I typed wrong.
1st, i renamed the file to R.bin, to avoid typo errors.
2nd, if it was typo error I think the results will say invalid file or cannot find file, etc..

So sadly.. it isnt the case... Thanks bro.

I was thinking maybe the hard disc was starting to fail from physical damage maybe?

just re-organize my main screen icons to suite current needs

Very much agreed. Cant find a phone as unique as the N900. This phone still has some very unique aspect of itself, like multitasking, no other phone come close to it. Not even android. Anyways.. it's time to move on.. Galaxy Nexus will have to replace my N900 from now on..

guys...lately i cant use fmms...it refuse to download mms....any advice?tq....

you ever touch any setting? what version you are using? I am still using v1.3.3, seldom using mms, last time I use is last month 25th still working fine.

Maybe your telco problem

never touch setting..juz using d one dat has been set by d telco...yup..i also using v1.3.3..im using maxis...

hm...perhaps have a manual check on the setting, I tried mms today and it successfully sent to another phone, though takes about few hours

at the same time, I got one mms from digi today, so coincedence

by the way, I am using digi

huhu..yup..sometimes its working n sometimes not...

haha . nowadays , i dont really using mms at all . all picture attachment sure i use email one.
so, i dont really care about the setting for mms , because i think that i dont really need it
