only workable if you have pc on hand, if you only got the phone and want to do some file shifting or editing some config, filebox still the best

when you flashing, no need to turn on power, the power is from USB

hold the U then plug in the USB cable, when the usb symbol appears, release the U, you don't have to touch anything on the phone anymore

Don't remember that.
If you're using Windows Vista/7 go to control panel->devices & printers
Check whether there's N900(Update Mode)

Till now I never used filebox to move files.
I prefer terminal & WinSCP

It's there.
Type "apt-get update" & retry installing preenv

You can also try midnight commander if you want a terminal-like style.

Thank you to both Super_Evil_Alien and Mashimarow,
apt-get update does the trick and apt-get install does the rest.

Actually, you can use Windows 7 x64 for flashing.

Here's the solution :

Mashimarow,

You do have a point.. but, quite curious how much longer the N900 can last with a 2400mah battery. I've read comments on the web, doesnt appear to have much negative reviews about the mugen battery.

I remember reading here on the forums that the N900 can last for around 3-4 days! (from Super_Evil_Alien maybe? I forgot) May I ask how you guys managed to get your N900 to last THAT long!? O_O

Mine can only last 1 day... sad.gif
