Guys, I need help with the Maemo Flasher-3.5.
I'm trying to flash my N900.
My N900 successfully connects to the PC (got nokia logo with USB logo at the corner)

when I key in this command in the command prompt
flasher-3.5.exe -F RX-51_2009SE_2.2009.51-1_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin -f -R
It shows:
flasher v2.5.2 <Sep 24 2009>
RX-51_2009SE_2.2009.51-1_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin: %m

and.. nothing happens.

I tried another command :
flasher-3.5 --read-device-id
It shows:
Suitable USB device not found, waiting.

I am guessing maybe the problem is with windows not recognizing N900 or something?

Help please..

yup. using old 32 bit Window XP.

Added on June 8, 2011, 1:28 amGuys! I successfully re-flashed my N900!!! biggrin.gif

Turns out the culprit was that
1: I miss-typed a single letter in the command (typed o instead of 0)
2: My PC doesnt have the Nokia USB flashing driver, and connectivity driver thingy installed, thus Windows did not recognized N900 as being connected.

Too me awhile to google for those files and to find instructions and clues at other forums. but in the end I did it!!!
I reflashed my N900!!!

Sorry for me being over-excited about this simple little thing, but this is a big thing for me to be able to revive my own phone. There's nothing like getting your hands dirty to fix your own gadgets. haha.. and it feels great to have my N900 back again! smile.gif

Now to restore the last backup files.. laugh.gif

i turned off all connectivity. network mode set to GSM (2.5). i think retro_rave got it right. there's some internal application draining my battery. i just dont know what and how to stop it.

just an update... i had just upgrade to power kernel v47.... my battery now last more than 24 hours with normal usage (wifi, 3g surfing, gaming, texting and phone). it seems that this update fixed the cpu usage leakage problem.
