To reduce time to market, all MeeGo R&D will be done in-house and in a single geographical location. If necessary, suspend cooperation with Intel and concentrate resources on innovation and releasing new Nokia MeeGo devices to market faster.

Oh wow..These guys really got extra set of balls...

any downsides to enabling HWSync in hildon-desktop.ini?
*
not really, ive tried for a few months. no random crash or reboot.

but there must be reasons why nokia disabled it in the first place. maybe some unnoticable bugs.

here's a new question, we let pc to control phone via winscp and putty, what about the other way around? any software to let us tap in pc to retrieve the data, or may be higher level by remote back in server?

p.s. ssh drain battery fast, have to install a switcher to turn it off, not sure the effectiveness
*

hello all N900 owner....
I already use N900 for half a year. but never play2 with the ovimap gps. i have some questions about the ovimap. btw, i already download malaysia's map using ovi suite. and i don't have data plan.
1. can i search location on the ovimap, without connecting to internet connection ?
2. how to save a location ? ( for example i safe a location and want to write "My Home" )
3. so basically, do i need to connect to internet connection ( wifi, gprs, or etc etc) to use ovimap?

sorry for noob questions even already use N900 for long time
*
you need internet to search location, you still can point the location in the map for routing tho.

i think you cant save location.

not really, the gps can find your location without internet connection by using the built in gps.

Actually, you can use Windows 7 x64 for flashing.

Here's the solution :

Oops sorry, my mistake blush.gif
+1

Comparing Meego with Maemo 5, heck even Maemo 4, the customization is really limited. But seeing the OS as a new kid in the block, man, it can be a serious competitor!

Anyway, did anyone have a screen shot at Harmattan/ Meego App Manager? Really hope Nokia still keep the repo system here. And does anyone know the availability of terminal app here? I can live with any compromise except this.

Most sought app for N9? IMHO: Rootsh laugh.gif
*
I read somewhere from talk.maemo.org that the you have to install the terminal in N9.
