SlideMe is a 3rd party apps site that encourage developers to submit their apps - it is a very small scale version of what you can find in Market. To date about under 10,000 apps while the Android market has about 120,000 apps more than 10 times more
If you are concernedd about getting Market - why don't you just try the steps I listed. Worse - it will not work . Or if can work - phone function affected ( which I think is unlikely ). In either case you still need to flash either full rom or just modem file

Sir Benny!

I followed the steps u given and my TAB finally have the market app! And my TAB still works well, minus the contact and message data they are all gone though.. lol. No problem, i'll just update that again.

Thank you for the advise.

Thank you Sir! WOOooohoooo!!

locate app you want to be default homescreen

You mean you just change the kernel to ext4 ( Modaco R3 ?? ) or you also converted the file system to EXT4 ??
Actually changing kernels and fs conversion to ext4  will not delete any apps/data
Can you describe what you actually did ? There could be a misstep you have done
What is Your original rom ? Please also advise what is now the firmware specs on your tab : Settings/About device - build number, Kernel version and baseband

Google for this file - plenty available in web : gapps-hdpi-20101114-signed.zip
This file contains several default google apps . Unzip it, locate the market apk and try installed it
What other apps missing ?
*
I have only change the kernel from FS to ext4. When i was in recovery , the backup was performed twice and now I have two backup file in my CW. When i rebooted all the third party apps was missing and the original apps missing was the Market. When i reinstall the third part apps, it says overwrite existing apps but there's nothing on the screen. Strange? Anyway i reinstalll all the third part apps but i am quite sure the old apps files is still residing somewhere in the Internal SD.

This is my specs. GT-P1000, Firmware 2.2, Baseband P1000DXJM2,Kernel 2.6.32.9 paul@PAUL-OBrien-iMac-#55, Build Number FROYO DXJM4

Looks like your internal SD is wipe clean. You can easily verify this - just use MyFiles - did you see the internal sd card ? When this happen, you will not see the ext micro SD card too
So go to recovery and restore the backup rom data
If by restore the internal SD card is missing :
- you have to reflash your rom with repartition, PIT and PDA using Odin. Then only change kernel. You will lose all your data when ou flash a new rom. I suggest you use rotohammer JMI

I'm not having this issue. I could charge my phone without turning off the light

Thanks for your feedback bro. Then i think my problem may due to the previous Richardtrip's Kernel that's i installed.
I just update to Overcome 1.2 and didn't do the fresh or wipe flash.
Maybe is time for me to the clean flashing by using Overcome 1.2 wipe version.
BTW, do i need flash back to Rotohammer JMI first?

Have converted to ext4 on my stock rom jm4. Quadrant score was 1087 on rfs but now 1723 on ext4.

#1 Too bad now my sensor is now having problem, it keeps steering to left when playing NFS. It was working well before convert.

#2 I feel my vibration feedback is much less sensitive now. It is the same sensitive level as before but its not so strong like before.

Anyone can help on how to resolve my sensor issue?

Hopefully soon, probably in a month's time since the SDK already out. I'd assume that the builtin 4 soft keys will be disabled with Honeycomb port

My curious here is, direct flash by using my existing CWM, will this consider as clean and full Overcome installation?

Wong : I suggest you reflash clean - that is what I did. Somehow when you directly flash Overcome 1.2 on top of existing Modaco Kernel - I noticed most obvious is the temperature. Even at stock 1 GHz my battery temperature on charge hovers about 38 to 42 degree. On normal operation modes was averaging 34 to 38 degree. Call me kiasu or kiasi, I am just not comfortable with such higher temperature though it is said to be acceptable

So what I did was : in recovery mode - clear cache partition, clear dalvik cache, clear data/factory reset. After reboot, I switch off. Go back to recovery only flash the full 1.2.0 zip.
Then I reinstall back my apps and restore some data using MyBackupPro. More tedious way

Immediately I noticed till today: at default 1 GHz - operating temperatures 28 to 32 degree ; while charging 34 to 36 degree. It is about at least a 5 degree difference
