Use center a few times they compose put the group at the side, but focus onto background zomg :S. Then kena shoot say why camera cannot detect -.- So usually enable all AF points. Sometimes I keep switching until sian lol, even me myself using 51AF haha. Scared my switch spoil :S.

i'm at lazy side...
i'm using all 51AF. lock focus to center.
focus & compose with AF-C on. tongue.gif
so i dun hav to fiddle around d setting so much.

unless i pass the DSLR to non-DSLR user.
i just tab it to AF-A focusing mode but still with all 51AF on.
at least they wont miss focus. smile.gif

Oh using the 3D tracking? I don't use that because the non cross sensor not so accurate on my 85mm.

With your budget, it is good for you to go for D3100 and then get another budget flash like the nissin di-622.

Then you are good to go. smile.gif

I'd say go for d90? d3100 is for short term though.. sweat.gif no built in motor which some of the lens well i think it is the -d you would have to use manual focus on d3100 but can AF in d90 because of the built in motor.

Actually it's quite an improvement over the D3000 which was pretty bad IMHO. But you have to judge for yourself whether it's going to be good enough for you. For RM2500, I would recommend a 2nd hand D90 kit. There should be plenty for sale these days.
