i only use my D3K normally at home to capture my daughters photo and my family. Normally i will use my compact digital camera to capture a simple photo. recently i went to Cameron Highland and see a lot of people bring out their expensive DSLR and lens. i only bring out my D3K + 18-105 lens and they looked at my like i'm a alien...hahahahhaha...maybe the lens is too big for the body.

Btw, i never tried using the hood. any different when using or not using the hood?if i use hood + SB600 on my D3K body, is the shadow still there?or it will get better if i using SB600.

my budget only for SB600 at the moment. the cost is quite similar if i am getting 35mm 1.8. dunno which one i suppose to go 1st?in a dilemma right now....

i 'm more shame than you, D70s for years and shutter count is less than 10k



now i m using my n8 capture photo more than i use D70s because already get used with "live-view".... now saving money for D7000 because got "live-view" ...maybe sensor cleaning or maybe .... well once i pay for 5k on this thing i sure will motivated to learn to earn back my 5k expenses lol

it's a shame for dslr user using live view...

my near-sight too awesome to look at view finder... joking la.

but ya not really get used with D70s after i use my touch screen phone to snap photo...when use bacn D70s...and revise the photo i shot...i feel like "oh god, really feel like wan stick my n8 on my D70s monitor"

only wondering here, if i use flash, no more shadow from lens as mentioned earlier - cause the flash point is higher than internal flash right?

yup i'm thinking about it too but unfortunately no budget at this time.
when i want to buy DSLR a year ago, i always said to my home minister, only d3000 and the kit lens. no upgrade as my other friends which keep changing lenses. because i knew this is a very expensive hobby.

then start to change lens because not satisfied with the kit lens and keep poisoned by my friends...

now gonna to get the flash after the office hour!

Think for a long term investment, don't think of upgrading, in fact, you'll lose more money if you upgrade.

aye. that's the reason get sb-900 or get nothing

SB600 is perfectly fine for normal usage, just not as powerful as sb900+it's lighter as well.. For those who only take family snapshots and not shooting for weddings/events, the sb600 is more than enough
